EVEN Romney can beat Obama and he doesn’t have to make Obamacare the focal point of his criticism of Obama. It doesn’t have to be central to his campaign. But, Romney hasn’t captured the nomination as yet. Let us retain our composure and let us reserve the vitriol for our un-American and anti-American opposition.

By Palin waiting just a few weeks longer she messed up everything.

I don't see it that way. I never thought she would run and I certainly wasn't waiting on her. Yes there were some misguided FReepers that were waiting but they represent a relatively small segment of the voters. She wanted to keep her options open and I don't blame her for waiting. So I don't think she had much of an effect on the nomination battle.

I won’t vote for Perry (after the “heartless” comment) and I won’t vote for Cain (after the racially tinged comments).

More power to you, but what is so egregious about those two men's comments that make a true-blue liberal like Romney preferable to either one?

But what about that running outfit?

OUCH! That one stings a little - heh-heh.

Are there any Palin fans who are now switching to Perry?

No way. Voted for Perry 4 times and the last two times with my nose held.

My man is Cain.

the receiving end of non stop nastiness

There certainly was a lot of it going around for anyone who dared to doubt Palin would/was running.

If you're afraid of the future, then get out of the way, stand aside. The people of this country are ready to move again.

Palin will endorse Romney. Count on it.

Maybe, but I'll be surprised and that goes back to McCain inheriting many Romney staffers in 08 who wanted to sabotage her.

For sure, if Huntsman does well in NH, it is likely those looking for “anyone but Romney” will coalesce behind him. He is way more electable, ethical, experienced, competent and conservative than Romney. Jon was a front runner early in my book.

Like Cain says, “America needs to learn how to take a joke.”

Truer words were never spoken.

Sure, it's not WWII-level experience, but we don't need someone with Ike's skills now.

Cain was a ballistics analyst for the Navy, so if he were to become president and then launch a war against Iran, he could probably plot the missile coordinates himself! LOL!

You don’t know the woman. You are making an assumption about her thought process as am I. You just don’t happen to like the conclusion I have drawn which is a 180 turn from yours.

I supported this woman in her primary against Murkowski. Maybe you should ask what would turn a person who used to support her before the nation knew her, through the presidential race and for a year after.... against her.

Sorry if you don’t like it but all I see is a woman with some help of her supporters who helped damage the only candidate that was competitive with Romney and Obama. Of course he helped with his fumbling on immigration but he is not solely the reason for why Romney is now going to be our nominee and I’m angry. the one candidate I didn’t want to receive the nomination. It happened with Mccain in ‘08 and now it will happen again.

Is there anyone here surprised that she has decided to forgo 'the rectal examination' she and her family would be subject to?

Nope...and I think your statement calls it exactly as it would be, unfortunately. Don't blame her a bit.

Our country has so many disgusting people in power now, both in the media and government that I am not convinced any candidate will be able to turn this nation around....it doesn't want to I'm afraid.

Huntsman’s (and Romneys) global warming stuff will be very tough for me to get past. My family is auto industry. Huntsman’s a LOT more liberal than I am, but at least I know what I’m getting from him. Romney biggest problem isn’t that he’s liberal, but that he’s untrustworthy.

Time to pick up the pieces and move on. Words can't describe how bad I feel,but...we have to go forward and do the best we can with getting the most conservative person elected...i'd like to see her as a running mate, but I don't believe that will happen.

That being said, I will NEVER-EVER-EEEEVER...cast a vote for Romney. My next choice would be Cain after Sarah.

she personally didn’t, but her supporters went out of their way to destroy everyone else to clear the path for her.

Now we are left with a bunch of badly wounded choices + the liberal trojan horse Romney.

90% of all the hate for everyone actually running was coming from Palin supporters.

I’ve not yet seen a single person elated that they can now vote for the liberal, Perry. And that makes me happy. He’s Texas Toast!
