I completely disagree with your post...in it's entirety. The mantel of the Tea Party is now up for grabs. Perry and or Cain will likely have it unless another candidate steps up and Newt's popularity is increasing as well.....and I don't think Bachman is done yet...just on the back burner.

As for palins supporters....

Right now, we need people who have been successful in private life ! This guy is a total package ! What are the alternative for us-—Romney——no, Perry——yes/no May be, he will come with next great debate that will make us change our mind and Cain. With theses choices, I will go with cain who will have a great debate performance and articulate conservatisim.

There is no one else. Regarding newt, he is there to help the debate process and may be a good cabinet position. He cannot even win the Republican nomination

Her decision not to run has in no way tarnished her. I don’t understand that perception. She has done her job for her country. We can demand nothing more.

If she chose to run, great, if not, then we wish her and her family the best.

Thanks for your service, Sarah!

If Ron Paul ran as an Independent— the college kids, pot-heads, peace-nics and those sorts that might not vote for Paul because of the R.

He would pull votes from Obama and we wouldn’t lose many votes going over to him. He would siphon from Obama, not the republicans.

No, I am not a Paulbot or whatever they are called.
I’m in the Perry/Newt camp—some probably think that just as bad though.

Not going to gloat, just use this as a learning experience. Always trust your brain over you heart.

That is one of the most condescending remarks I have ever seen. You just called the man stupid and then proceeded to brag that you weren't going to do that.

GCC, some people would rather have a loser to the last loser shoved up their rectum - as long as he has good hair — than someone politically astute and personally dignified enough to understand what taxpayers were being put through with partisan shenanigans.

God bless Sarah Palin. She is going to do great things for the conservative movement.

it hardly means she is "toast" for the future.

_______________________________________________

The future? Are you kidding?

She had over two years after she quit to enhance her slim credentials and did absolutely nothing in that area. Writing books, reality TV, talking head gigs, FB notes, tweets and speaking engagements do nothing to build up the skills and knowledge of global real-politik that the job requires. She chased the dollar instead. She will not suddenly become a serious person about this.

I understand your anger, you've been led to the altar and ditched. If you want to take it out by anonymously calling somebody who saw the con for what it was names then go right ahead --- it won't change the facts.

Oh stop it ! He will give the presidency to Obama ! No third party ! We still have some decent conservative candidates and vote for them in the primary !

The desperate rationalization going on is sad. The anointed one has said NO- but it’s BETTER than saying yes? Sure! She is MORE powerful now?
Watching all of this on FR these past few months it has struck me as almost word-for-word the same as the Obamanation people calling him ‘the savior’ and raising him to deity status.
It’s odious, no matter who is worshipped this way.
Saviors aren’t MADE, they arrive.
She won’t pick up the banner, folks- she IS NOT ‘The One’!

Sad part is how many real conservatives were trashed in the process.

True Conservatives? None.

I saw his ad and almost cried. It was one of the fantastic political ads in this cycle. But, he has let me down so much, I am leaning towards cain. I am not sure, whether cain will let me down but right now, it is cain

The future? Are you kidding?...

[Yawn.]

Look... I'm not ruling Gov. Palin out for a future try, but I'm not going to lose sleep over her either.

From the little I've seen of you on other threads, you have quite an obsession about this. So you know, there's no need to waste your time on me: I'm not one of the "Palinista's" you're looking for.

You are one of the Palin supporters who just is not playing with a full deck. Wizard, you simply need help. You are the second one I have seen post something that borders on going on a major drinking bing or worse over her decision. Dude, get a life beyond Sarah Palin.

I know I have mixed it up with some of you in here who have had intelligent and cogent posts why you support her. For those, you won’t hear one snarky comment from me. I know many of you are disappointed and I am doing no gloating over this. There is much to admire about Sarah Palin, I just don’t think she could be elected at this time due to many factors. But she is no coward like some of her ex ‘supporters’ are posting now. We still have the freedom to support our candidate and speak our piece.
To y’all I say let’s find a candidate we can support and defeat this evil man who occupies the White House (I don’t like to call him President) Right now, it’s Cain for me.
Peace,
MattHatter

Desperate rationalization? I continue to be astounded that anyone who professes even a modest admiration for Sarah Palin gets painted with the "savior worshipping" brush. I like Sarah Palin. I almost certainly would've cast my vote for her. That said, in the toxic politically-driven media environment we're in, I have also maintained that she will exert more influence "behind the scenes" than as a main candidate, and that because she understands that and knows how divisive her candidacy would've been to conservatism, she would NOT run. Pretending that somehow the Establishment doesn't understand her influence is to ignore reality.

I do understand how it is to believe in someone so much.

It was not her we believed in, but what she represented. Maybe she didn't represent what we hoped? Pray for our Country.
