Sarah Palin has announced she will not run for President of the Unitd States. She announced this a few minutes ago on the Mark Levin show. Listening to the show, I've transcribed Sarah Palin own words regarding her role in this upcoming election:
Levin: ...I just want to reassure them. You're not going anywhere and you're going to be a voice out there for them. Correct?
Palin: That's true, Mark. I'm gonna join you in this mission to help wake up America to what's going on in our country. I believe I can be more effective and I can be more aggressive in this mission in a supportive role of getting the right people elected. I need to be able to say what I want to say and hold both sides of the aisle accountable and call out the wrong headedness of our quote unquote leaders who are leading us down this path.

She then goes on to list all the important elections that are upcoming and how she intends to help the conservative candidates with their campaigns.
Glad you’re on a first name basis with Governor Palin.
Don’t give up hope. She may change her mind, Groundhog day is coming!
WE must fight this battle, she can't do it for us, we WILL take our country back, and if Ubama, the Stupid Take Back Wall st people, Romney or big Daddy Republicans, get in the way we will sweep them aside, Sarah helped to build Momentum, and it is speeding up, NOT slowing down because of this.

What a snide comment for someone who is also addressing Mrs. Palin by a title for an office she does not hold. Our Constitution SPECIFICALLY states that we are not a nation of titles, so if you’re going to whine about how someone is addressed, then address her by the appropriate title: MRS.
For those who are Palin supporters, I am sorry for your loss and I won’t rub it in,..., much.
True, and sad, because many of us knew she was never running. In the meantime, the best solution for depression is to WORK. So now we can all get to work supporting one of the conservatives who IS running.
If anyone is celebrating thinking that Sarah Palin is history you’re in for a rude awaking in the near future. She’s just advancing in another direction.

Not saying Obama isn’t going to lose, but in terms of getting a real conservative into the White House in 2012...we’re screwed.

Actually, Governor IS the proper way to address her, just as former presidents are addressed as President so & so.... the titles of Governor and President remain for life....so does ambassador, I believe
I dont freakin’ care what the RINOS or Commies call us....we’re God fearing Conservatives and the WHOLE COUNTRY suffered a huge blow today, whether or not they are smart enough to realize it. Wrong move to mock someone on here right now....

We lost the best candidate but the principles remain standing, untouchable.
Exactly what I said yesterday. I don’t think she’s strong enough as a leader, but she still has a very effective role as a spokesperson for conservative ideals.
Don’t forget what this has always been—it’s not about the personalities but the principles.
There are many out there who fought against Palin because they oppose the principles she represents. But these enemies have lost before the battle ever started, because they seek lies and slander.
The principles—the ideas—are untouchable.
She can be more effective driving the debate and discussion than she could be holding the office of the Presidency.

No, actually, you are the first one to even come close.
And obviously you made a assumption because if you had actually checked my posting history you would clearly see I have a track record of staying OFF the useless see-saw / teeter-totter threads and SAYING SO.
My FEW comments on such threads were confined to careful observation of the facts, far removed from the various brands of the obsessed that were posting back and forth 10 - 60 times A DAY.
I see from yours that you are at actually astute enough to support the least offensive of current pack of stumble-bums that lightheartedly call themselves candidates.
But being the least offensive does not make me think he will go the distance.
Maybe, maybe not. He does not have the rallying effect that Gov. Palin has.
One thing is certain, the establishment GOP is going with MittWitt or Perry. Cain is new to the scene, somewhat unknown and in the view of establishment GOP AND the commie-donks, Palin-lite.
Therefore, we are talking long shot here.

Hey, maybe McCain will ask her to be his VP.
It'll be like lightning striking twice.
I mean, Levin - not Levine.
We all get caught up in personalities. It’s just the way we are. Even more when it’s a true fighter like Palin.
But don’t forget what Palin always said, and what many of us have said since long before the 08 election: it’s the principles that matter.
The principles, meaning the ideas which form the structure of our liberty. As Freepers, we have a statistical advantage over the average marxist when it comes to grasping this concept.
Shouldn’t get caught up in personalities. That’s what we fault the left for. The left searches for Superman - we stick to ideas, principles, and institutions. But the “cult of personality” exists on FR same as in the liberal community. That I do not get.
Let me spell it out—it was never about Palin.
Palin stood up for those ideas better than anyone else. How that is so difficult to understand is what I don’t get.
One with a presumably larger payday for herself and her family.
Oh, and just in case you’d like to be educated one why it is NOT acceptable to address a former politicians by the title they NO LONGER hold, here is the protocol (I’ll copy “Governor” for you, feel free to look up the rest):
Former office holders go back to whatever they were before they were governor. Only a Governor in office is formally and officially addressed as Governor (name). The reason? There is only one Governor at at time, and it’s not respectful of the current office holder to refer to former office holders as it they were still in office.
I know we hear newscasters referring to former governors as “Governor.” But officially is incorrect.
