"There is no public record of the operations or decisions of the panel, which is a subset of the White House's National Security Council, several current and former officials said. Neither is there any law establishing its existence or setting out the rules by which it is supposed to operate."

What # is the Tea Party?
Be careful, they’re checking our posts right now to find their first candidate.

Maybe I shouldn’t self report to O’s twitter site, after all.
Sounds like an establishment of a Star Chamber to me ! No due process and secrecy. Get on someone’s $h!tlist by p!ssing off the wrong person and get taken out !
Apropos of the creeping (and creepy), sliding (degenerating) scale theory:
The panel of principals could have different memberships when considering different operational issues, they said.
I thought I saw a drone following me today.
Just had a low flying plane ... does that count?
Maybe the real question is ... America do you feel like you are being threatened yet?
Dang ... now I see your post. Shucks.
When it can be easily turned against us domestically...
Thats when you ask yourself again:
“What am I prepared to do about it, and what am I prepared to sacrifice to defeat it?”
For those new to my question, it is a personal gut-check, and not designed for anyone to answer it in a public forum...Keep it to yourself, it is much easier that way...
The Star Chamber.
Scary that only crazy Ron Paul is asking that?
[ America is a country of laws. As I and others have suggested, we criticize Ubama for refusing to release a Justice Department legal opinion that reportedly justified killing Awlaki. ZERO is a hypocrite because the LEFT insisted on publishing Bush-era administration legal memos justifying the use of interrogation techniques that the LEFT falsely insisted were torture (water-boarding), and yet Ubama refused to make public his rationale for killing a citizen without due process. ]
Obama should have least gone through a “trial in abstentia” and revoked Awaki’s citizenship then nailed him.
Certain Paperwork is vitally important.
Most FReepers defended Obama on his order to asassinate a US citizen with a remote-control plane.
Idiots.
What do you think the Fed is going to do with all the information they collect on their critics? Fed Plotting to Monitor Critics
Nothing much new in communists run America. America is becoming lawless.
The Executive Branch is operating with no checks or balances.
This is one of the most dangerous things a double-talking, double-dealing conscienceless tyrannical government can get into, and we’re letting them do it. It’s just nuts.
Not good. File under "Things that can go bad quickly."

I’d say, Ruby Ridge was a prior.
And now folks will know why I questioned the sanguinity of all those supporting executive powers like this with no checks and no balances from elected officials or Article 3 courts.
It cuts both ways. :-)
I belive Stalin nailed it when he coined the term: Useful idiots.

The Elian thing also. When the feds realized that the sheeple love brute force and fear liberty, it was all over.
I'd add the child abuse witch hunts also. They were atrocities that no one ever paid for.

The Star Chamber (Latin: Camera stellata) was an English court of law that sat at the royal Palace of Westminster until 1641. It was made up of Privy Counsellors, as well as common-law judges and supplemented the activities of the common-law and equity courts in both civil and criminal matters. The court was set up to ensure the fair enforcement of laws against prominent people, those so powerful that ordinary courts could never convict them of their crimes.
Court sessions were held in secret, with no indictments, no right of appeal, no juries, and no witnesses. Evidence was presented in writing. Over time it evolved into a political weapon, a symbol of the misuse and abuse of power by the English monarchy and courts.
In the Star Chamber the council could inflict any punishment short of death, and frequently sentenced objects of its wrath to the pillory, to whipping and to the cutting off of ears. ... With each embarrassment to arbitrary power the Star Chamber became emboldened to undertake further usurpation. ... The Star Chamber finally summoned juries before it for verdicts disagreeable to the government, and fined and imprisoned them. It spread terrorism among those who were called to do constitutional acts. It imposed ruinous fines. It became the chief defense of Charles against assaults upon those usurpations which cost him his life.
Scary that only crazy Ron Paul is asking that?
What's even worse is how many FReepers are all for this. I don't understand how they could be so stupid as to think that this won't be used against Conservative Americans who stand against the Leftists.
"Skin that smokewagon and see what happens!"
Hi,there, TE!
That pic is from my fav scene in “Tombstone”—the “Hell’s Coming With Me” scene on the railroad platform.

OH THANK GOD, they follow international law.
So let me get this straight, Obama. The US cannot waterboard an Arab, but we can kill TWO Americans. okeedokee
I'm so sad to see conservatives embrace this.
I'm so sad to see conservatives embrace this.
I couldn't find a pic of Kurt Russel dressing down Billy Bob. Seems like there aren't that many pics coming up in search engines anymore.
My point to those people was that if the government is sitting around deciding which citizen needs killing and who doesn't, and we allow them that power, you may be next.
So many hypocrites on both sides. Conservatives say who cares he was a terrorist, oh wait there's a secret list, that's wrong!!! Liberals decry waterboarding arabs captured on the battlefield, and then stand behind Obummer when he bombs this guy.
BTTT
I thought it was wrong from the get go and still do. I was amazed and shocked at the number of people here on FR having no problem with it.
“This press release is just part of the process of acclimating the public and, more importantly, local law enforcement to accept this like its a normal and necessary function of government.”
That’s the BHO Adm’s mo. Like a trial balloon, that’s what they do, on ever-increasing scales of encroachment of the Constitution and in furtherance of their Marxist totalitarian goals.
“What’s even worse is how many FReepers are all for this. I don’t understand how they could be so stupid as to think that this won’t be used against Conservative Americans who stand against the Leftists.”
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The BHO Adm thrives on precedents-—preferably Bush precedents (It gives them an opportunity to ratchet up the crime/corruption to infinity.)-— but if not a Bush precedent, any precedent will do.
I know that this administration has that MO, but the truth is that unless someone slaps some sense back into Americans in general so that they start referring back to their Constitution as a guide to what is and is not acceptable from our Government, BHO is the least of our worries.
The fact that the citizens of this Country are allowing this to happen and even cheering it on is more of a black mark against us and our National Character than anything a sitting President could do.
I hope they don’t have my address. LOL!
Secret panel can put Americans on "kill list'
Thanks, thouworm.
Jack Hunter did a great video on this issue, quoting Justice Scalia.
