“Warning: You’re going to want to strangle Lawrence O’Donnell after watching this, if you don’t already.”
Posted October 6th, 2011

Herman Cain versus demigod Lawrence O’ Donnell. Annoying Liberal Larry met his match with Cain. Highlights of LO’D got-ya questions (teasers to watch video) to Cain since no transcript out yet.

LO’D : ‘ Has the Democrat Party managed to brainwash 81% of the American people into supporting that idea? (more taxes on the rich)

LO’D Reads Twitter question : “Ask him how he would ever expect to get the African American vote when all he has done is insult our intelligence?(calling us brainwashed)

LO’D :” Do you regret sitting on the sidelines at that time (when black college students came to the south to be murdered fighting for the rights of Aftrican Americans)?

LO’D :”Can you explain how you avoided military service during the Vietnam war and during the draft and why you should be commander and chief if you did successfully avoid military service during the war that came during the war years after avoiding the Vietnam war why should you be commander and chief?

SOL comment : WTF?? Is LO’D's man Obama another General Patton?? Did he worry about Obama’s lack of a military record in 2008?

A black conservative Republican candidate taking on a MSNBC (Sleezy race-baiting ) white liberal face to face on civil rights. I have dreamed of this for many years.

Cain told MSNBC Liberal Larry he was ‘offended’ with his accusation of him (Cain) being a Vietnam draft dodger. Offended ..you have to see this..LOL Cain is great in this!

Go Herman! You are taking me over....

Cain was a gentleman in response to LOD’s baiting (in consideration of Larry’s emotional delicacy?).

The Wuss will never have Cain on again.

RE "I saw it. Total smack-down delivered by Cain."

Loved it

I watch these shows most night and unfortunately see clueless Republicans walk in unprepared and get clobbered by LOD; but something about Cain raising his voice in frustration to larry really looks like a adult dad telling his spoiled child brat to GROW UP!

Cain has got himself in a groove now.

Can you explain how you avoided military service during the Vietnam war and during the draft and why you should be commander and chief...?

Two names... Bill Clinton - actively evaded the draft, by his own admission. Barack Obama - please explain, Mr. Obama. Please explain!

And to you Mr. O'Donnell (had a cow, EI-EI-Ohhh) STFU unless you can show that you served or that you gave equal or greater grilling to the above candidates. You worthless piece of pond-scum.

How did you evade military service, Mr O'Donnell? Please enlighten us all. In-grown toe-nail, old football injury, migraines, ear ache, self-bitten lower lip, mommy wouldn't let you? What was it there, big shot?

You're a big man calling cards from other people. Let's see yours...

Kudos to Cain for holding his own with O’Donnell, a mean, tough left-winger and a sharp debater. I think Cain got the better of him in the Vietnam War part of their exchange, when O’Donnell fatuously tried to argue that Cain would have better served his country by toting a rifle in the rice paddies, than contributing his research capabilities to the war effort. Otherwise, I’d say Cain fought him to a draw. It’s hard to see how the Hermanator gains by appearing on O’Donnell’s show, as he can’t hope to win any votes from that left-wing audience. But with Fox News giving him short shrift in favor of their chosen candidate Mitt Romney, Cain may well have decided that he better take any nationally televised interview offered, even when the offer comes from an openly hostile left-wing network. That’s a devil’s bargain, and I don’t envy Herman Cain.

I beg all of you, especially those of who are unsure about Cain, to watch all 3 clips. Absolutely a command performance! It gives us a fantastic glimpse into how he will stack up to Obama. This is a key reason to support Cain, because he is simply the un_Obama - he presents by far the greatest contrast. And he is so damn likeable and personable!

If he wins one “thinking” Libtard over with the FACTS he presents, it is worth it for him to do these interviews.

He did not back down and he did not let LOD get away with his lies and innuendo. I have seen Mr. Cain in person two times, but this so called “interview / interrogation” tells me more about him than his speeches ever did.

Mr. Cain is in the number one slot as far as I'm concerned. I hope he can make it through the Gauntlet because the Country will be better off for it. The other Republican Candidates, with the exception of Newt IMHO, would have withered under LOD’s bullying. Mr. Cain did not and he made me proud.

Hi all,
Yes, Herman Cain did a good job. I admit it and I’m a Perry supporter.

Only one place he stumbled in my opinion and that was the part when he was asked about why he would consider not running alongside Perry but would run with Romney. The list of Romney’s past but recent views was read to him. He said he didn’t know anything about Romneys past views.

I think we should send him the video that is circulating around about Romney. Cant believe he doesn’t know about it.

He needs to be educated. Tell rhe truth, guys/ Don’t you think its time he went after pretty boy too?

Herman is tough as nails. He had to be that in order to survive in Georgia in the 1960’s when coming up of age. He then had to survive in the dog-eat-dog world of corporate hierarchy to reach the top floor office. Do not misuderestimate Herman! I am saying that to MSM, not you personally.

Interview by Beck yesterday

Cain has 38% I heard today. Romney 18? And Obama loses overall....

MSNBC falls low on the media viewer ratings totem pole so exhibit a Napoleonic complex. They depend on their extremist view points to shock an awe in order to make threads like FR and other like conservative media/blog outlets which have a greater overall mass of followings. In the grand scheme of things, they r inconsequential.

Perhaps he was on there to promote his book, show his mettle to the flaming libs (they now know they may have to be ready for a boomerang ala Dan Rather & Bush I), and realizing that his ability in handling the DNC propoganda machine would get posted on FR, thereby reinforcing his standing as one of the most solid in the race. He ain’t afraid. That’s great!

O'Donnell is trying to insinuate that Hermain Cain is an "Uncle Tom" becasue he didn't participate in the civil rights movement? O'Donnell continues to go back to that racist line of questioning, avoiding the important issues that we face as a nation today.

Democrats are racist. Let's not fall for their racist tricks. Do like Herman Cain, focusing on the important issues that are relevant, race is not relevant, and questions or comments should not be entertained. Next question!

Impressive now that he has been given the attention he deserves. He shakes up the stereotypical representation of what a conservative Republican is...and the Left do not know what to do with him..I am sure they are digging 24/7. Conveniently enters the collected college yuts and SEIU marching on Wall Street and elsewhere across the US hoping to draw attention away from The Fall of Obama..add to the list the Fannie, Freddie and Sally conspirators that Cain says will be immediately investigated and yes those found guilty of intentionally perpetrating a fraud on the citizens of this country for political reasons and in doing so brought this country to it's knees economically will face imprisonment. Powerful people are very afraid. Let's not forget Solar Enron, the Walking Guns -death of Terry and 200 people that has this administration on high alert mode.

Minor edit: 'LOD' should be corrected to 'LOaD' as in 'pantload.

I would advise all FReepers, you will want to put a bullet in that bastard O’Donnell’s head. He is such a smug piece of shit for the things he said to Mr. Cain.

He insulted Mr. Cain’s father.

He questioned Mr. Cain’s courage for supposedly sitting on the sidelines during Civil Rights.

He had the audacity to suggest that Mr. Cain was a coward for supposedly ducking Vietnam service, and for not enlisting to go fight. WHAT THE HELL IS HE TALKING ABOUT???

Lawrence O’Donnell was born in 1951. He was 18 in 1969, when the Vietnam War was raging. Lawrence O’Donnell did NOT serve in Vietnam.

Lawrence O’Donnell has a daughter. Why is she not serving in the current war?

Mr. Cain was patient and tolerant with his insulting punk interviewer, more so than I would have been.

I’m sorry to say this, but as I live in LA, if I ever see Mr. O’Donnell walking around on the streets, I will have to beat his ugly ass. He is the lowest of low-life scum.

LO’D was feeding Herman Cain hardballs, and Mr. Cain hit them out of the park.

I’m telling you I have not seen such a bravura performance by any politician since the days when Sam Donaldson was ABC white house correspondent during the Reagan years.

Sam would try to trip up the Gipper at every opportunity. At presser sure. But often on the sidelines when RR would get on Air Force 1. And Mr. Reagan would answer same in a very polite way, and often with humor rip Sam a new one.

I could not help getting the feeling that Lawrence O’Donnell was trying out for the role of being Sam Donaldson to President Cain.
