According to Holmes County Sheriff Timothy Zimmerly, victims there included a 13-year-old girl and a 74-year-old man.

They cut the beard off a 13-year-old girl?

We here at FR were never fooled by the Amish. We knew their rowdy ways.

cutting off their hair and beards in an apparent feud over spiritual differences

Relatively speaking, this is better than beheading and blowing people up.

Oh, great.

Now the Amish are going crazy. Is this the beginnings of Amish jihad?

This is like the Amish Reformation, I guess. It could get ugly.

There’s a really inappropriate video advertisement for a hospital on the page with the article. It shows a man with his hair cut short, and two Band-Aids forming a cross on his forehead. Then it says “An injury is never convenient...” It’s hard to read the article with that goofy image flashing up on the screen over and over.

Cutting the hair and beards apparently was meant to be degrading and insulting, Abdalla said, adding that the hair from the victims was brought back to Jefferson County to prove to Sam Mullet, the bishop of the Bergholz Amish group, that Mullet’s orders concerning the hair cutting were followed.

Was the Mullet finally shunned in the mid west?

The writing was on the wall.

You could see this coming for miles.

It started with that group of rabble-rousers who refused to put those orange triangles on their buggies.

They lit the fuse.

Before this is over, some may even demand electric lights and indoor toilets!

"A group of religious castoffs has been attacking fellow Amish ... "

OK ... what did you just read?

Are the Amish a cast off religion? (fellow)

Did some that perhaps have been disciplined take revenge?

If the "cast-off" did this deed, then they are not Amish, thus .. the title should be, independent religious liberty attacked by satanic mob.

The article states, “Motives may be related to unspecified religious differences involving 18 Amish families, 17 of them related, who have drawn previous attention from law enforcement”.

Hatfield and McCoys.... Amish style?!!
