Daily Caller Uncovers ‘Occupy DC’ Organizer Admitting To Paying Protestors (AstroTurf)

While the Occupy Wall Street movement has captured the imagination of genuine activists nationwide, intrepid libertarian reporter Michelle Fields for The Daily Caller uncovered that some protestors were being paid off to attend one of the rallies in Washington DC. “Some of them are volunteers. Some of them aren’t. I can’t identify them. I’m not going to get into an identification game,” admitted an organizer from DC Tenants Advocacy Coalition, a group that advocates for affordable housing.

Fields attended an Occupy DC rally Thursday and spoke to small group of Hispanic protestors who just happened to march right by her. Fields, who is Honduran and a native Spanish speaker, questioned the protesters why they were there, and “some Hispanic protesters holding up English protest signs could not articulate what their signs said.”

“I spoke to them in Spanish because some of them couldn’t speak English,” Fields told Mediaite. “Others felt more comfortable speaking in Spanish.”

It appears that Field’s questioning in Spanish may have spooked the organizer into divulging his actions for the camera.

Now the video has gone viral in the conservative blogosphere and opponents of the Occupy Wall Street movement can point to this as signs of astroturfing among the rabble rousers.

Fields will be on Your World with Neil Cavuto to discuss the video later this afternoon.

Yep real grassroots...right Nancy Pelosi? I think this is all staged and planned. Obama, Stephen Lerner and Van Jones and maybe even Paul Krugman behind all this.

They will not occupy D.C.

Its obvious their call is to increase government and reduce the private sector.

We need a TP Occupy DC camp.

Yes we work , but we get different days off and vacation times.

The Rats should get rid of the donkey and use this as their new party symbol.

Wow...it is kinda amazing isn’t it. All this paid rabble rousing...trailing back to the President and the members of the DNC....

What a treacherous and traitorous web they weave.

A web...where the multi-eyed fly cannot see and is trapped in, bound, and then sucked of its life blood.

How does one defeat a web?

Shocking. Seriously...most of these folks are just props. A select few run the show. This is all theater. Remember the WTO...or was it the World Bank?...doesn't matter... protests of years ago? The money shot was a bunch of folks in cardboard sea-turtle outfits running up the street with smoke(teargas?)wafting in the air. Priceless. A quart of vegetable oil in a dumpster set ablaze will provide lots of atmosphere. These people are angry, and a violent response is what's wanted by those that pull the strings.

Hey, I've got am idea - especially this "occupy group" stuff, lets get some of those leaders to pay their "protestors" over to Georgetown and other tony areas in DC, agitating for those who live their to give up their homes to them or at the very least, let these people move in!

Get them some "free housing" not making them stand in the streets chanting slogans they neither understand nor care about - get them free housing in really nice areas with wonderful amenities.

Now that's real "affordable housing!

I’m sure the paid protesters are giving some of there earnings to the unpaid protesters, right? If they got something it belongs to everyone.

I believe those who ‘pay’ others to protest should also then pay for the public services required to manage protestors. I imagine additional police hours and various impacts on local business as well as the additional sanitation concerns all cost money and those who pay to create the mess should then pay to clean it up.

I recall back in the 60’s a group of black children being paid to demonstrate for civil rights. I believe it was Memphis (not sure) and the clandestine film showed the kids gathered in a side street, given what looked like a dollar bill, a sign, poster or banner and then filmed protesting on the main street. The protest film was shown on CBS the next day as a spontaneous demonstration. CBS was the culprit. I heard from a young Army intelligence officer several years later they pulled the same stunt in Vietnam.

This goes higher than all of those clowns. We're being prepared mentally for riots this coming election season.

Having these idiots crapping on NYPD patrol cars isn’t even close to a riot. These people are to damn stupid to riot.
