The Democrats Envy the Tea Party, So They Created a Bad Imitation

RUSH: Okay, so the protests, I finally, ladies and gentlemen, have seen a whole bunch of pictures of the" Occupy This" protest, and they're nothing. You look at pictures of, say, the 9/12 event Tea Party event in Washington. You look at any number of Tea Party events -- and, by the way, there have been 300-and-some-odd Tea Party events; not one arrest. Already 700 arrests. In Sacramento, the Occupy Sacramento group, the local Eyeball News crew showed up out there and asked them, "Why are you here?" and these people go nuts. They don't know why they're there! In some places, Hispanics admit to being paid to show up.

Oh, yeah, and the organizer says, "Yep, yep, I -- I -- I'll have to tell you, some people here are paid. I'm not gonna identify 'em for you, but they are." This is not spontaneous, and it's not large, I didn't know -- now, maybe I just didn't think about this hard enough, but I didn't know that the left had such jealousy of the Tea Party. That's what this is all about. I just thought it was pure hatred. I thought they hated the Tea Party for all the obvious reasons: It's organic, leaderless, spontaneous, and it's real. It's made up of people who have never before done anything like they're doing: Showing up at town halls, engaging in public protest.

Every member of the Tea Party is a solid individual, most of them work, take time off from work to do what they're doing. They dramatically, dynamically oppose everything the Democrat Party stands for. Well, you can understand the Democrats hating and reviling that, but what I didn't know is, they're jealous! I think the jealousy may be stronger than the hatred. So their jealousy has led them to create this mock imitation, which is a sham. Looked at in that light, this is laughable. Most of the protestors at these things don't even know why they're there. They can't answer the question, "What is your agenda? What do you want?" All they can say is, "Well, we hate the banks! Punish the banks!" Really, folks, it's a joke.

The communists hiring illegals to “protest” for them is a little goofy. The stinking hippies sure have gotten lazy over the past 50 years.

Ok I'm going to show my geek side.

In the Tolkien literature Silmarillion (p50) he states that Melkor (the Evil one) created the race of Orcs out of envy to mock the elves.

That is how I have viewed these misanthropic exhibitions.

the most brainless and common reply to the question, "Why are you here?"

"For the people!"

Almost as brainless as the "Hope and Change" mantra.

Meaningless.

If you look at the signs they are all over the map on issues. Tax the rich...end the war...we want jobs...no blood for oil...gay rights...women's right to choose...save the gay whales...no more nukes...ban guns...bla bla bla.

I hate to wish them any bad luck, but...

If a plane carrying all the RAT Senators were to crash into that mob...a moment of prayer...OK moment is up!

I’ll bet you’re right. In 2008, a lot of DemocRAT politicians in California were hiring illegal aliens to show up with signs and posters at their rallies. There were videos on YouTube about it. Pretty funny. This country is REALLY messed up right now.

We’re goig to see a lot of that moving toward 2012 and obama has a Billion dollar war chest - that can by a lot of signs and pond scum to carry them. They can be bought for as little as a couple of dollars and free McDonald coupons.

Part of the deilcious irony is that, knowingly or not, the Tea Party (and Rush himself) follow Alinksy’s ‘Rules for Radicals’, and with great effect. In particular the ones such as

- Power is not only what you have, but what the target thinks you have.

-. Never go outside the expertise of your people. Feeling secure stiffens the backbone.

- Whenever possible, go outside the expertise of the target. Look for ways to increase insecurity, anxiety, and uncertainty.

- Make the target live up to its own book of rules. If the rule is that every letter or E-mail gets a reply, send thousands.

- Ridicule, especially against organizational leaders, is a potent weapon. There’s no defense. It’s irrational. It’s infuriating. It also works as a key pressure point to force concessions.

- A good tactic is one your people enjoy. They’ll keep doing it without urging and come back to do more. They’ll even suggest better ones.

- Keep the pressure on. Never let up. Keep trying new tactics to keep the opposition off balance. As the target masters one approach, hit them with something new.

- Pick the target. Target an individual, personalize the attack, polarize and demoralize his/her supporters. Go after people, not institutions. Hurting, harassing, and humiliating individuals, especially leaders, causes more rapid organizational change.

I am sometimes reminded of the great line in the movie ‘Patton’ wherein George C Scott shouts out “Rommel, you Son of a Bitch, I read your book!”

If Rush can build on the Tea Party momentum to successfully market Two if by Tea, surely someone on the left can come up with a product to “capitalize” on the “Occupy That” craze.

How about “Occu-Pine Scented Park Deodorant”?

And, why, in liberal’s minds, is the hippie occupation of New York any better than the Israeli “occupation” of Palestine?

Surely somebody other than Piven, Van Jones and Soros can come up with a way to capitalize from this fiasco. Maybe some “I Survived the Wee Wee Party’s ‘We Don’t Know Why We’re Here’ Occupation” T-Shirts.

For years South Korea was known as the “Land of the Almost Right”. This was before their recent surge in technology. Back then, everything produced to copy a marketable American product was “almost right”, close but always lacking. The Democrats have always been the same way ... the party of the almost right.

Some how I don't think that's what Obama had in mind when he said Americans had gotten a little soft...but that shoe sure fits. lol

I love this one. You gotta admit that Alinsky guy had some pretty good ideas.
