After a couple weekends of cool, rainy weather. That was the first sunny warm Friday night here in Chicagoland. Weather will be the same tonight so expect another 15 shootings.

As soon as I read the headline, I somehow knew it had to do with Chicago.

I’m sure there was a lot of community organizing that went into that shooting.

The street gang community has learned a lot from Obama about organizing.

Not to be cynical; 19 of the 20 shootings were in heavily minority areas, some with severe gang problems. (Chicago has an estimated 50,000 street gang members, but at those numbers, who’s counting?) The one odd one was the shooting at Ashland and Irving Park, about a mile from Wrigley Field. The Lakeview area contains primarily a young, hip, professional, semi-professional people. Equal opportunity drive by? The new mayor, Rahm Emmanuel (nicknamed Tiny Dancer) knows the city is down 2,000 cops and another 250 retiring by year end (out of total 14,000) but can’t seem to find the money in the budget to hire more police officers. And the City of Chicago still has the most stringent gun laws in the U.S. hmmmmm get yours, sucka.

Did the new DHS "Minority Report" system predict this?
(Hmmmm, naming the system after the movie would be strangely appropriate, don't ya think?)

Well they could try a ban on handguns except for those registered with the city government prior to enactment of the law. The law would also specify that such handguns had to be re-registered every two years or owners would forfeit their right to possess them. And then they could toughen the law to require annual re-registration........

Well they could try outlawing all guns........

Well they could try those Gunshot location systems........(I know they always have the dead body)........

Well they could require Bullet Marking........

Well they could try a gun buyback program........

Well they could try snitching........

Well they could try making it illegal and punishable by up to 10 years in prison for those convicted of or under indictment for a felony punishable by more than one year in prison, someone convicted of a misdemeanor punishable by more than two years in prison, a fugitive from justice, an unlawful user of any controlled substance, someone who has been ruled as mentally defective or has been committed to any mental institution, an illegal alien, someone dishonorably discharged from the military, someone who has renounced his or her U.S. citizenship, someone subject to certain restraining orders, or someone convicted of a domestic violence misdemeanor to possess a gun........

Well they could have a no issue Right-to-carry law where concealed carry is generally forbidden........
