3 killed, 17 injured in overnight shootings

At least three people were killed and at least 17 others wounded, including nine teenagers, in shootings across the city late Friday night and early Saturday morning.

Well, it's been an Indian—whoops, pardon—Native American Summer here in Chicago. Temperatures approaching the eighties. The natives are out and about. And restless. When the cold snap returns—we had one a week ago—the shooting/stabbing/clubbing numbers will decline. Also, much of the mayhem will move indoors as the natives quarrel over shoes, play stations, drugs, and all the other shiny objects of their failed, depraved subculture.

Ever notice that most of these shootings take place well between mid-night and daylite? Don’t most rats and other vermin come out at night to play? Sarcastic but quite similar I’d say.
