I agree with you on Ron Paul, he’s sucking money and votes. The crazy old coot is what, 76 years old? Time to put him to pasture.

More likely his early stumbles are a preview of his coming stumbles.

....”Perry is more of a center right conservative within the party, more in line with the new breed of Republican we saw elected in 2010.”....

Perry is “in line” with the Tea-party conservatives we elected in 2010? And not just simply a GOP “Good ‘Ol Boy” GWB clone? Um, ok. Sure he is.

That’s the way I see it, but even if I’m wrong I’m alot closer to being accurate than claiming Perry and Romney are the same thing, i.e. liberal. That’s just silly! :)

Regarding the 9-9-9 tax plan it is politically foolish and big loser because it is going to force the 50% of the people who are not paying any tax now to pay a lot more in taxes.

I would love to have everyone paying taxes. One of my problems with Bush II was eliminating more people from the tax burdon. It puts non taxpayers to sleep. As Joe Biteme says "You need skin in the game". I am tired of half the country rolling through life voting for more gimmies and not worried how the money is spent. This 50% just keeps voting Rat because the will get free this and that. Screw that. If everyone pays a flatter tax, everyone will finally care where it is going and what it does.

And what did Cain win before?

He won second place against Johnny Isakson in an open primary for Senate back in 2004!

Perry's initial appeal was his straight talk. Then he shot himself in the foot with his dumb-as*ed shilling for special treatment of illegal aliens. So now he's going to improve his appeal by talking more nuanced?

The guy is beginning to look more and more like Mitt Romney. If it comes down to that, people are going to buy the RINO version with more polish.

Either that, or buy the real conservative available in black.

Eliminate all federal taxes and then institute a consumption tax. I believe in a consumption tax because there’s a whole lot of consuming going on out there! You spend, you pay. No exemptions, no exceptions, no immunity.

Cain would have zero chance of defeating Obama, should he get the GOP nomination by some miracle. Nor does he have any chance of beating Romney. And Cain knows that.

Cain Perry is now appealing to the RED MEAT voters who only care about tough talk and red meat rhetoric. It is very clear to anyone who is not a RED MEAT voter that Cain Perry is acting tough but as an attack dog governing poorly and is nowhere near as conservative as he acts when he's in campaign-mode.

Fixed it.

If you could say that in a Fog Horn Leg Horn accent, it would remind me of this dope.

Perry is a staunch conservative and certainly not liberal like Romney. I am from TX and know Perry’s record and his stances. Name calling and smears seem to be your style.
