Rep. Ron Paul scored a decisive victory Saturday in a mock presidential election at the Values Voter Summit, trouncing fellow Texan, Gov. Rick Perry, but an organizer of the straw poll suggested ballot-stuffing may have skewed the results.

In a press conference following the announcement of the straw poll results at the annual Washington gathering of social conservatives, Family Research Council President Tony Perkins all but dismissed the results as irrelevant, citing 600 people who registered Saturday morning and, he said, "left after Ron Paul spoke."

A total of 1,983 ballots were cast. "You do the math," Perkins said.

Ron Paul, Rick Perry. What happens in Texas should stay in Texas. The nation doesn’t want “Bush 45” or LBJ redux.

Ron Paul might be a lot of things, but he’s not a Bush or a LBJ. Perry, yes, true, but not Ron Paul.

Ron Paul is the one with the middle east policies that most people don’t like.

LBJ and Bush were the ones who brought the wars without end, Ron Paul is the one who wants to end the expensive wars, and pretty much would like to cut anything and everything.

This proves that voters can be blind sided by a speech or organization - ANY VALUES VOTER that believes in no laws regarding drugs, prostitution and other favorites by Ron Paul should not be allowed to wear the button...that suggest they are for family values.

Interesting.

Anarcho-syndicalism [snip] This ideal of a libertarian, directly-democratic, experimental and communitarian society built from below for and by workers is sometimes referred to as libertarian socialism.

AGAIN: Just ignore any straw poll data for that unelectable nut. A mob of his cult members can distort a straw poll but their numbers in a real primary are insignificant.

I was there. That's exactly what happened. I don't believe Ron Paul won any new supporters at the summit. All of his support came from people who were prepared to vote for him before they came. Winning straw votes for Ron Paul is their passion, their obsession. They do it better than anyone.
