At the end of his "60 Minutes" interview with Lesley Stahl, GE CEO Jeff Immelt asked her: "I don't know why you don't" root for GE, and by extension for American business, the way company employees do? Did Immelt leave Stahl speechless? Rather than providing an answer, 60 Minutes could only cut to its tick-tick-tick stopwatch.

The segment ended on a “negative” note (Why DON’T you?). Did not help Immelt or GE.

I guess they left his comment in so it would look like they are being tough with GE.
“60 Minutes” could have edited this interview and ended on a different note had they wanted to. Guess what? They ended the segment the way they wanted to end the segment.
Why did Leslie tell her plastic surgeon she wanted to look like Barbara Walters?

This Obamaite socialist CEO of Government Electric has employees in a bind here. Cheer for us in corporate proaganda sessions or lose your jobs! I am not all that excited about the CEO habit of self aggrandizement at the expense of employees these days.
I don’t expect my employees to cheer for me. I expect them to do their job professionally and they expect me to keep the work coming in, pay them, be fair, be cleae and keep the company afloat.
They are not cheering for me like I am an idol and I would never expect them to lower themselves to do that in order to stoke my ego. But then I am not a amoral socialist goon.
