CCRKBA To Obama: We May Hire ‘Shadow’ Investigator If You Don’t Appoint One(gunwalker)
Ammoland ^ | 9 October, 2011 | CCRKBA

BELLEVUE, WA – -(Ammoland.com)- If President Barack Obama does not appoint a special, independent prosecutor to investigate the Justice Department’s cover-up of Operation Fast and Furious, and find out what Attorney General Eric Holder knew and when he knew it, the Citizens Committee for the Right to Keep and Bear Arms may hire its own “shadow” investigator.

“President Obama told reporters yesterday that he has complete confidence in Eric Holder,” said CCRKBA Chairman Alan Gottlieb. “From our perspective, it looks like the president has complete confidence that Holder will continue to stonewall Congress and cover up this mess. The President has been asked to appoint a special prosecutor to investigate the attorney general. If he doesn’t, then someone else must act.”

Gottlieb said the Fast and Furious scandal is “far worse than Watergate, because nobody got killed as a result of Watergate.”

The investigation began when two on-line journalists uncovered evidence that the gun trafficking scheme put thousands of guns into the hands of Mexican cartel gunmen. Two of those guns were recovered at the murder scene of Border Patrol agent Brian Terry last December

“Fast and Furious has gotten a lot of people killed,” he observed, “including Brian Terry. CBS News disclosed Friday morning that former Deputy Attorney General Gary Grindler knew about Fast and Furious 18 months ago. He’s now Holder’s chief of staff. Yet the President and Holder both stick to the claim that they had no knowledge of the operation. Just how much longer does this administration think the American public is going to believe that story? People aren’t that gullible.

“The public deserves to know whether the Attorney General, the top law enforcement official in the United States, committed perjury when he testified before Congress,” Gottlieb said.

“What’s happening right now is a travesty,” he concluded. “Obama isn’t going to fire Holder or accept his resignation. He desperately needs Holder to stay on the job and continue obfuscating and stonewalling. Obama is more interested in damage control than he is in gun control.”

With more than 650,000 members and supporters nationwide, the Citizens Committee for the Right to Keep and Bear Arms is one of the nation’s premier gun rights organizations. As a non-profit organization, the Citizens Committee is dedicated to preserving firearms freedoms through active lobbying of elected officials and facilitating grass-roots organization of gun rights activists in local communities throughout the United States. The Citizens Committee can be reached by phone at (425) 454-4911, on the Internet at www.ccrkba.org or by email to InformationRequest@ccrkba.org.

Someone needs to setup a website where dealers can login and report how many firearms (by make & model) that were sold with BATFE approval.

Let’s start our own list (without serial numbers) to show how large of a program this is.

Let dealers from across the US enter data so we can see where this was taking place.

Anyone with half a brain knows that this plan came from the White House.

Obama has no choice but to back Holder and his Stonewalling.

If Holder squeals he will take the “Present”(Not a misspelling) with him.

Holder should be very careful he doesn’t get Ron Browned, if I were him I would stay off airplanesa dn away from Federal Parks (ala: Vince Foster.)

Vince Foster didn’t die in the park.

He was disposed of there.

"The (F&F) investigation began when two on-line journalists uncovered evidence that the gun-running scheme....."

Anyone know the names of these two enterprising and brave journalists?

Will they be nominated for a Pulitzer Prize?

Will an Oscar-winning movie be made of their investigations and revelations?

Are Robert Redford and Dustin Hoffman still available?

‘Someone needs to setup a website where dealers can login and report how many firearms (by make & model) that were sold with BATFE approval.’

This stmt is misleading. The purchases were passed by FBI NICS in cooperation w/ the ATF. IOW they were working together, in full cooperation. It was the ATFs job to make an arrest after the purchases got a NICS ‘proceed’. So, this isn’t only an ATF problem. The FBI owns a big part too. I think also the DEA and HLS as well as the State Dept. had their fingers in the pie but I’m not sure what role(s) they played. If only the ATF takes the heat then justice will not have been done.

“...Anyone know the names of these two enterprising and brave journalists?...”

See post #1 - Mike Vanderboegh of Sipsey Street Irregulars and David Codrea, Gun Rights Examiner.

Vanderbeogh has been on this from Day One...he was the one that, through his contacts with Patriots within the ATF and other organizations (yes, they do exist) breached this colossal criminal enterprise.

Codrea has sunk his teeth into it like a pit bull with a giant steak.

CBS reporter (wow - THAT’s a surprise) Sharyll Atkinson is all over it too, and she’s been verbally screamed at by the administration because she’s on it; CBS may be trying to quiet her too.

Now, we need to get the NRA and every other gun rights organization to started pinging COngresscritters to pay attention to this as well...

I hate to say it, but with so many of the biggest federal alphabet-soup agencies involved in this bloody scandal, anyone continuing to press the issue may want to make an Interceptor vest part of their daily work clothes, if you catch my drift.

Getting an M1 Abrams to drive to work in might not be a bad idea, either.

"100 heads" and all that...

The new talking point as of this morngn was that this was a continuation of a Bush program

I believe that's a lie that won't withstand even the slightest scrutiny. The field agents that have gone on the record have said that they never engaged in purposely allowing guns to get away from them before. The MSM won't be able to float that BS once Congressional hearings ramp up again and agents come back to testify some more.

This is NOT a continuation of "Wide Receiver". Wide Receiver was a program set up by agencies without Bush's knowledge and the difference was they(the ATF)actually tracked the weapons and kept them from going across the border. This has been pointed out to more than one dumb a**ed lefty who tried to use it, Cain took some guy to the woodshed the other night when the lefty tried to use it in an interview. Even thought the guns were being tracked, Bush stopped it as soon as he knew about it. No Comparison. There were no guns going across the border. Of course the truth never matters to the left if they can lie their a**es off and get a few left wing nut jobs to believe the lie.

I think it was shown that he didn’t die from a gunshot from the gun that was found next to him.

I can think of no words to describe this rotten group of people, the CCRKBA. I never signed up for emails from their site, yet get them. I have ‘unsubscribed’ many times, but continue to get their emails. I have called their contact number only to be told that the problem is being worked on or that they will manually unsubscribe me...(which they do not do). I have emailed their contact email addy more times than I can remember, and they cannot even scrounge up the decency to respond to my request for information on WHY they can’t unsubscribe me. Either they are rude on a level I have not ever seen before, or they are so incompetent they cannot even figure out how to click “Reply”.

A remarkably worthless ‘organization’.
