The reason I would not vote for Romney is not because he is Mormon but because he is just another Obama. We will get the very same thing if he is elected.

I heard this morning on local radio that this pastor was talking about Perry. Is Perry a Mormon? Or was my morning show host ill-informed?

I’m not a fan of mega-churches and all the marketplace-in-the Temple goings on that they imply, but Jeffrees is my kind of pastor.

“I am not going to get into an analysis of Mormonism vs. Christianity. I’m not getting into that,” said Cain

With that statement, he just said it in a blanket statement. By his very use of words, he described Mormonism as something other than Christianity and rightly so.

Let’s see how this plays. Where’s my popcorn...

More importantly, the MSM should ask what his opinion is of Black Liberation Theology...

I don’t know about your radio talk show, but Perry is not a Mormon. Romney and Huntsman are.

Yep, when we see someone driving at high speed towards a cliff, we should just keep our mouths shut, because it would be “divisive” to tell them they’re heading the wrong way. Besides, they look like they’re having fun!

What does he say about Muslims?

He starts with: "Islam does incite violence" ...continues with: "Islam is being used to support marriage to children"

Listen to him in his own words on the subject:

The homosexuals don't like him, either.

BLT is not really a cult so much as it is simply a communist front movement.

He’s right. Because of their claims of major latter-day inscripturated revelation, Mormonism crosses a line. The difference between Mormonism and Christianity goes way beyond the differences that exist between various communions in Christianity, such as Orthodox, Catholic, Anglican, Reformed, etc.

It is not, and has never been about Romney’s religion. That’s a distraction. It’s about Romney’s policies.

The preacher is 100% correct.

Yeah? Is the preacher correct about his calling Catholicism a cult?

Sure, I have big problems with some aspects of Mormonism, but I've never met a more patriotic and conservative "cult" than the Mormons.

Not talking about patriotic or conservative. Talking about religion. Your ignorance of Christianity and Mormonism is blatantly obvious.

I live in E. Texas and I’d say at least half of my Baptist aquaintances do not consider Catholics Christians.

(Note: Not my personal opinion....my wife is Catholic.)

I've lived in E. Texas longer than you and I have never heard anybody say that Catholics aren't Christians.

I don't know anybody who plays with snakes, either.

Surely you’ve heard the laundy list: papacy, prayers to Mary, salvation by works instead of faith alone, purgatory, calling priests “father,” veneration of saints.....come on, you know the list.

Hank

Give me a break. You don’t think most Baptists think the veneration of Mary is unchristian? That the papacy is unchristian? They’re all cool with the idea of purgatory?

I know more than one person who thinks the Catholic church is the “whore of babylon.” You’re telling me you don’t know people who believe that?

Hank

I've never heard "whore of Babylon"... but my friends and I don't sit around discussing the Catholic church...which, BTW, some of my best friends go to...or went to at one time.
