The only candidate in that graphic that is in ascendency is Cain. The rest are in decline.
Check McCain poll numbers in the fall of 2007 and all the way till few days before the first vote was cast. Everyone declared the McCain primaries campaign dead during this period. Polls, 3 months before the first primaries vote mean absolutely nothing.
