Adam Hasner's changed position on offshore drilling

In campaign appearances, Republican U.S. Senate candidate Adam Hasner has repeatedly said he supports oil drilling off Florida's shores, and that he opposed then-Gov. Charlie Crist's attempt to impose an offshore drilling moratorium. In a speech before the Palm Beach County Tea Party's Boca Raton chapter on Oct. 4, Hasner adamantly asserted, "We rejected Charlie Crist's plan to block offshore drilling off of the coast of Florida." The implication in the statement, which you can watch Hasner make in the video posted below, is that he has always supported drilling off the coast of Florida, and that just isn't true.

When are we going to learn that nothing written in campaign literature is actually sincere or even thought up by the candidates themselves. Why do people even read it? That ad was targeted directly to the tree huggers of the voting district. Campaign mail insults our intelligence. Voting history is more important.

Amen....

And on his voting history he has my interest. He appears to be a solid conservative.

"Too many voters don't do any research on candidates"

Too many voters try to look at it as black and white: it is more complicated than Mr. Politician supporting or opposing off shore drilling.

Does he:

Support drilling beyond 125 miles
beyond 100 miles
beyond 45 miles
Does he support drilling the destin dome 25-30 miles south of the panhandle
Does he support drilling only on the west side of the Military Mission Line, or both sides
Does support drilling only if Florida gets a cut of the federal royalties
