Rush: Perry the only conservative threat to Romney
The Examiner ^ | October.11,2011 | Charlie Spiering

Posted on 10/11/2011 10:04:19 PM PDT by Reagan Man

On his radio program this afternoon, Rush Limbaugh said that Christie's endorsment of Romney is proof that the GOP establishment is "desperate" for Romney to be the Republican nominee.

"They're doing everything they can to make sure -- you know, Bachmann, Santorum, they're not in the top tier now, but they want to make sure they stay there." Limbaugh said, "Perry is the only genuine conservative threat to Romney, and this is an effort to take him out."

Limbaugh added that "the thinking" on Herman Cain is that he does not have enough organization or money to compete with Romney.

"They don't even want to go through the primary process. They want to force people out." Limbaugh concluded, "They want Bachmann to quit. They want Santorum to quit. They want Cain to get outta here. Well, he's not going to for a while. They want Perry to finally throw in the towel. They want everybody to realize they don't have a prayer. It's Romney."

Note to rush -

Perry is no conservative. He would be worse than Dubya, another guv from my precious state of Texas.

All we gotta do to get rid of rumney is vote for
Cain or Newt. That’s it, just don’t vote for Mitty and it does not matter who or how much money wants him.

He did good, he sounded solid and trustworthy. I think Cain has peaked and we’ll see Perry’s numbers improve. We know he’s not going to win in New Hampshire, so that’s no big deal.

Rush is really slipping, in my opinion. He’s still got one of the sharpest minds in politics, but he’s far behind the curve on too many issues regarding the individual candidates these days.

Personally, I don’t believe that he’s paying nearly as close attention as the average tuned-in voter is, or that he’s personally vetted the candidates half as well.

How he could call Perry a “conservative”, is beyond me. In my opinion, that’s a clear indication that he doesn’t delve any deeper into the candidates than the MSM issued bullet points.

I love these threads where everyone complains about all the candidates - Perry isn’t a conservative; Newt has too much baggage; Romney is a RINO; Cain doesn’t have an organization; Bachmann talks about her children too much; and so on and so forth. I will vote for whoever the Republican nominee is because, whatever his (”his” being a generic pronoun) faults, he’ll be 100% better than that arrogant narcissistic anti-American incompetent fool we have now.

I don’t think Rush’s 99.5% accuracy rating is in danger here.

I listen to Rush when I can and haven’t ever heard him mention Cain. I’m sure he has mentioned him but I’ve missed it.

Palin called Perry a conservative.

If she did, she was being very kind to him. Very kind.

Perry did okay tonight. A decent job.

I thought Romney was on bennies and Cain was defensive. 999 is no no no!

Newt and Santorum did the best. Bachmann did okay too.
