Cain Turns Up New Race Card For Democrats
IBD Editorials ^ | October 12, 2011 | LARRY ELDER

What to do about Herman Cain? This question goes not to the Republican Party, where establishment candidates such as Mitt Romney privately dismiss Cain as lacking the experience, gravitas and resources to beat President Obama and then to soundly govern the country.

Herman Cain is not going to be the GOP nominee. Without a serious star-power staff, a ground game, chits to be called in by the candidate or the candidate's influential network of friends of influence, the fat cats sit on their checkbooks until and unless they believe their horse can win.

A serious presidential candidate is not one who, like Cain, breaks from campaigning for a book tour timed to coincide with his unlikely quest for the White House.

No, Cain is a clear and present danger to the Democratic Party — and its invaluable, near-monolithic black vote. Cain says things such as:

"African-Americans have been brainwashed" into voting for the Democratic Party.

"If you (Wall Street protestors) don't have a job or you're not rich, blame yourself."

"People sometimes hold themselves back because they want to use racism as an excuse for them not being able to achieve what they want to achieve."

"I don't believe racism in this country today holds anybody back in a big way."

How do some influential, left-wing blacks react? Not well:

Cornell West, professor of black studies at Princeton: Cain needs to "get off the symbolic crack pipe."

Harry Belafonte, entertainer, civil rights activist: "He's a bad apple, and people should look at his whole card. He's not what he says he is."

Tavis Smiley, PBS host and NPR broadcaster, writes off Cain's comments as "ridiculous or crazy."

McCain and Sarah were ahead until the last two months.
after the economic meltdown they slid.
Call me a conspiracy theorists. .can you say Soros?

On 9/13 someone started the meltdown. They pulled 500 billion. Government tried to head it off by infusing over a hundred billion but couldn’t stem tide.
Coincidental?
I report you decide.

The great thing about Cain is that he’ll assuage the guilt of all those people who think it would be racist to vote for a white over a black.

I was young to and I agree...it was just horrible. He let it go on and on...when he finally called it a lynching which I bet he thought for days is was especially after all the hateful, nasty horrid attacks by Ted Kennedy and others...it was like a hard gut kick to them. Now he is under attack again. I can’t rate Cain to the level of Clarence Thomas not even close though, but there just not many men as fine as Clarence Thomas.

I think Cain has much more charisma than Thomas.

A lot of that comes from his stints in business.

And he’s got a MS from Purdue in Computer Science so I know he’s a smart guy.

Like I said so many times, we must never make the same mistake like we did in 2008 and let the LSM decide for us who the Nominee should be

Cain can win

And that is why he will not be the GOP candidate.

Yeah-they turned fast enough on McCain after pushing him forward. And Romney provides the press with genuine slaughter fodder.

First thing out of the box will be how much romenycare resembles obamacare to crush the tea party vote.

Next thing will be, ewwwwwww, did anyone else know that all Mormon men believe that each will be a God over their own planet after death. I can hear the press bringing up every tenent of mormonism and ripping it apart oh so innocently. ( Like they tore apart that fatuous uhbama spirituual guru, the ol' rev Wright creep. ( Oh THAT's RIGHT-we didn't hear a peep about rev Wright from the mainstream media. ) Friggin hypocrites.

The LSM-unable to summon the integrity to vet a democrat under any condition.

LSM-one big suckfest.

This is why we must never let the LSM tell us who the nominee should be and we must make it clear to the GOP, we do not want the candidate the LSM wants

So the Fat Cats and Elite will sit on their collective asses and watch OB reelected? Same crap Hugh Hewitt and Mike Medved are putting out to cut legs from under Cain. I thought it was support anyone who runs against OB. Are all the Elites and Fat Cats going to sit back and watch Barry destroy their wealth and country over the following 4 years?

...candidate's influential network of friends of influence, the fat cats sit on their checkbooks until and unless they believe their horse can win.

Do these fat cats EVER give any thought to their country? Are these the same group of fat cats who urged Christie to reconsider?

I sense the political mood in the country as aroused citizens, who mainly have never been active in the political process before. But these fat cats, aside from their wallets, how have they ever participated before?

Czar B.O. is raising $1 Billion for the campaign! Where does the money go? I have never seen an audit for any campaign to see who got the money!
