The Occupy Wall Street protesters who have taken up residence at Zuccotti Park for the past three weeks may temporarily have to find new digs Friday when crews plan to enter and clean the park.
The owner of the park, Brookfield Properties, will be dispatching cleaning crews there, said Deputy Mayor for Operations Cas Holloway.
Holloway said Brookfield wrote a letter to the city expressing concerns over the upkeep of the park and maintaining it in a "condition fit for public use."
"The last three weeks have created unsanitary conditions and considerable wear and tear on the park," said Holloway. "The situation is not in the best interest of the protesters, residents or the City."
The cleaning will be done in stages, and the protesters will be able to return to the areas that have been cleaned, provided they abide by the rules that Brookfield has established for the park, said Holloway.
So the Tea Party cleans up their own mess, but OWS requires “crews”. Hmm.
leftists are just dirty, nasty creatures aren’t they?
If these were TEA partiers that place would be cleaner than when they arrived. lol
Cleaned up to be messed up - again. Wonder what those OWS people will do when the weather gets nasty.
Hey, they created jobs!
Excellent. Ain't it amazing how the mayor and Brookfield have to work together to create these jobs . . . ?
Hey, they created jobs!
Issue pooper scoopers to all the shitters...they can use them for bongs.
Lice, ticks, fleas, rats of NY, bedbugs etc must be rampart by now and I heard off someone there who saw this protest that the stench was awful.
Flea baggers in obamaville
I would go in there and plow the friggan ground up and water it down real good. Let em wallow and lay in the mud.
I’m being silly of course — destroying things to rebuild them is unwise economic policy.
They’re going to decontaminate Stinkpotty Park?
The Children of the Demned won’t feel at home any mote.
The Occupy group should have to pay for the cleaning and damage, but it’s too much to ask.
Much is made of the civility, respect, and cleanliness of the Tea Party people. Tea Partiers make a statement and then go home. One can imagine the difference if a Tea Party decided to stage a long term protest. No stench.
Tea Partiers and other right-wing demonstrators usually do not camp out on a site for weeks; thus it is easier to clean.
However, even for short-term demonstrations, leftists still leave lots of litter!
Dissolve and get washed down the storm drain . . . ?
Wonder what those OWS people will do when the weather gets nasty
Great idea! But they should have to pay for them like all dog owners.
Brookfield Properties has a connection to the Obama administration....the long and twisted link was posted a couple of days ago. I wish I had saved it.
Demand free hotel rooms and free food. What else?
Paid for by those who do pay taxes...
Cleaning up after the little snotty-nosed, commie wannabe brats. What a country!!!
Hey OWS Occupiers. Why don’t you all head to California? They are well on the way to achieving the anti-capitalist, open-borders utopia you crave. You go there, achieve your dream, and all like-minded protesters who are so miserable under capitalism can follow. Then, you can demonstrate how superior your ideas are, and we will all convert. (I’m lying about that last part, but you are too naive to see thru my little ruse.)
The people are occupying PRIVATE property? I can not believe the owners are allowing this. I would think the neighbors would demand the owners put a stop to this and barring that that the city would demand the owners stop this.
Three Things To Remember:
3. NYC Mayor Mike Bloomberg's long time lady friend, Diana L. Taylor, is on the board of directors for Brookfield Properties. Bloomberg recently told the "Occupy Wall Street" mob that the city has no problem with them using the park and city streets to continue their demonstration.
Order up some heavy duty pumps, some fire hoses, a tanker truck filled with Clorox and hose them down.
About 1 Am.
I’ll take ‘Jobs Even Illegal Aliens Wouldn’t Do’ for $1000, Alex.
There’s a lot of information on the Brookfield-Bloomberg-Biden-Obama connections here. . .

(park is the location of Occupy Wall Street in Manhattan)
And, perhaps more importantly, we’re not getting paid by Soros, the unions, etc. to demonstrate!
They'd better be wearing these:
WE ARE 99%
WEL ARE 99%
WEL FARE 99%
They want to be on WELFARE 99% of the time!
