Al Gore backs Occupy Wall Street protests
The Hill ^ | October 13, 2011 | Andrew Restuccia

Posted on 10/13/2011 9:37:45 AM PDT by maggief

Former Vice President Al Gore threw his support behind the Occupy Wall Street protests Wednesday night, arguing that the country’s elected officials have failed the public on everything “from the economy to the climate crisis.”

Gore, a vocal advocate of policies to address climate change, called the protests — which have spread around the country — a “true grassroots movement.”

“From the economy to the climate crisis, our leaders have pursued solutions that are not solving our problems; instead they propose policies that accomplish little,” Gore wrote on his blog Wednesday night.

“With democracy in crisis, a true grassroots movement pointing out the flaws in our system is the first step in the right direction. Count me among those supporting and cheering on the Occupy Wall Street movement.”

Al Gore could become world’s first carbon billionaire

Last year Mr Gore’s venture capital firm loaned a small California firm $75m to develop energy-saving technology.

The company, Silver Spring Networks, produces hardware and software to make the electricity grid more efficient.

The deal appeared to pay off in a big way last week, when the Energy Department announced $3.4 billion in smart grid grants, the New York Times reports. Of the total, more than $560 million went to utilities with which Silver Spring has contracts.

The move means that venture capital company Kleiner Perkins and its partners, including Mr Gore, could recoup their investment many times over in coming years.

It’s Official: Cogentrix $90M DOE Loan Guarantee for 30MW CPV Project
Date of Publication:
09/09/2011
Publication:
GreenTechMedia

The concentrated photovoltaic market is stirring. A few weeks ago, we brought news of the largest CPV project in the U.S. Developments from SolFocus, Soitec, Solar Junction, and Amonix continue to make the news.

U.S. Energy Secretary Steven Chu just made the $90.6 million loan guarantee to Cogentrix official this morning for the construction of the Alamosa Solar Generating Project, a 30-megawatt high concentration solar photovoltaic (HCPV) project in south-central Colorado. That 30 megawatts would hold the title as the largest CPV project in the world when it is completed at its target of mid-2012.

Cogentrix, a subsidiary of The Goldman Sachs Group, estimates that the project will create about 100 construction jobs and 10 operations jobs. The project will source over 80 percent of its components from the U.S. Most of Cogentrix’ previous projects have been for fossil fuel plants.

Cogentrix plans to use the mammoth concentrating panels from CPV veteran Amonix, the Kleiner Perkins- and Westly Group-backed solar hardware supplier. Ben Kortlang, the KPCB partner on the Amonix board of directors, spent eight years at Goldman Sachs prior to his Kleiner Perkins role and investment in Amonix.

so he backs anti Jewish comments.
arrests on a large scale.
shouting kill the cops
bringing unsanitary conditions
ruining an area
crapping and pissing on a cop car
crapping and pissing on the street in public.
drugs in public
destroying an area especially like in Boston which had just been done over and had cost a 150 grand

On top of all that he supports taking more money out of his pocket and letting those with no money live at one of his mansions?

Oh and not one of them has a common demand and half of them have said they have no idea why they’re there.

Yep Gore you and your lefty pals sure are smart but please go ahead because all those commie signs, socialist signs, all those arrest, destroying property and clueless fools interviewed will be made in many AD’s with the ending of you, Pelosi and zero all saying how they support you and then end the AD with a caption.

Is this the change you voted for, the party of JFK is no more, as you can see they have been taken over by commies, layabouts and socialists.

That's EXACTLY what I was thinking!

How convenient for the OWS to raise the exposure to the next level of those who have not one ounce of respect for individual liberty, limited government, and the declaration and Constitution. Each time the exposure level of these statists is raised, that much more of the politically-noninvolved right-leaning Americans come on board to conservative reality.

He took home £10.7m. Profits at the asset manager in the year to the end of last December rose 55.8% to £49.1m, and it currently has approximately $7bn under management, according to accounts filed at Companies House.

Generation’s 20 partners were paid a combined £49.4m, up from £31.6m in 2009.

The company, which is run from purpose-built sustainable offices in London and New York, invests in firms based on economic, environmental and social criteria.

Blood, Gore and Mark Ferguson, the son of Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson, founded the London-based firm in 2004.

yea strange how the left in power and people like Gore support the protests and yet take money from wall street

I would love to get zero at a town hall event or anywhere and ask
“ you say you understand the protests as does pelosi etc so will you give back all of your money you got from wall street and will you now not take any more money from wall street?”

Infact if we had a decent reporter left in this country then that question needs to be asked.

We need to get to these events and get zero, Pelosi Gore etc to answer the questions like above, real questions that is which our biased media will not ask.

Super Rich Pass Rules Giving Themselves Carbon Credits As A Gift

October 12, 2011 ·

Several years ago when I began vigorously attacking the horrible Carbon Derivatives Market Tax, some people became, as usual, quite angry with me. I also looked closer at what the Bilberberg elites were actually doing —continuing to live high off the energy hog—and decided that they didn’t actually believe there is any global warming. They just wanted this nifty carbon pollution market which would be totally open ended and utterly exploitable…for them, not us…and the stated goal of this being for a pious salvation of humanity was really a looting expedition.

.
Of course, this was laughably easy to understand: the Derivatives Beast is a creature designed artfully and carefully by the elites to go to infinity. There are no brakes on the hockey-stick growth of any derivative machine. The machine, itself, is designed to shoot to infinity. Of course, there is a brake: humans facing destruction from these various derivative ventures revolt or the Goddess of Infinity crushes it when it shoots towards her habitation which is in the CAVE OF WEALTH AND DEATH.

We now have perfect proof that the very rich elites, the princes and bankers both don’t really fear ‘global warming’ all that much if at all, and are a bunch of crazy, greedy gnomes who want to stick the rest of us with 100% of the costs of all taxes and schemes: Billionaires to be given free carbon allowances to offset green tax on private jets – Telegraph
