Memphis-born Republican presidential hopeful Herman Cain will return to the Mid-South on Friday, hoping his 9-9-9 tax plan will resonate with voters.
Cain, a favorite with the tea party, will speak at 11 a.m. at W.J. Freeman Park at 2629 Bartlett Blvd. in Bartlett.
"They contacted our group and asked if we'd help set up something. And we said sure," said Jim Tomasik, a steering committee member for the Mid-South Tea Party. "Most of the time these candidates aren't even coming to Memphis. So it is a pretty big deal and we thought we'd help them out."
Memphis and is coming home to his roots.

Maybe we will finally meet in person. I now live within walking distance of the park. I’m going to see what Mr Cain has to say. I’m not too crazy about the 999 tax as it will hurt people like me that doesn’t pay personal income tax.

Hubby is 72, and we still pay federal income tax, down to short form. 0’care is going to kill us, as he is retired Navy Sr. Chief Petty Officer. And when he turned 65 they forced him onto Medicare and Tricare for Life...both admined by Express Scripts.
Look for the short, plump, semi blonde chin length hair, with a blue jean vest full of buttons, flags, med. blue T shirt, carrying a quilted red, white, and blue carry bag. With an 0’care sign on 1 side, and a Cain one on the other. LOL
And of course the Mouth of the South. :-)

You already do pay personal income taxes. Your FICA taxes add up to more than 9%.
Leaving 0 in will mean MORE taxes, and a lot more maimed and dead Military.

Republican Primary Presidential Candidate Herman Cain will be in Bartlett tomorrow, October 14th. The event is a bus tour/rally for Mr. Cain’s campaign. If you would like to attend, the event will be held at the W.J. Freeman Park in Bartlett. The event will start at 10:00am. Mr. Cain will be speaking around 11:00 and should run until 2:00pm.
I need to get a small camcorder and learn how to upload to U Tube. My camera is a good one, but the movie part only takes a few minutes and a lot of memory. Maybe Santa will be good and bring me a small 2 hr one. Have a great granddaughter who has her 6 year old fingers wrapped around my heart. Not that I love the grands any less, but they are past the sit with grandma stage.
