Wall Street protesters vow to stay put (despite living in disease infested filth)

Protesters will resist any efforts to remove them from the Lower Manhattan park where they have been camped for nearly a month, despite Mayor Michael Bloomberg's order that they vacate the park at 7 a.m. Friday so it can be cleaned, an organizer said Thursday.

"Come tomorrow morning, we will passively resist and make it as difficult a process to remove us as possible," said Occupy Wall Street spokesman Tyler Combelic. "It's not an occupation if you can't occupy the park."

His words appeared to be backed up by the sentiment of the crowd of more than 1,000 protesters who filled Zuccotti Park Thursday night. "All day! All week! Occupy Wall Street!" they chanted.

Combelic called the mayor's announcement a "not-so-veiled attempt" to force protesters from the park, setting up a possible confrontation with authorities.

Protesters descended on the privately owned park near the New York Stock Exchange on September 17 to protest the nation's ailing economy.

"You want to clean up something? Clean up these crooks on Wall Street," said City Council Member Charles Barron.

Daniel Mintz of MoveOn.Org said he was planning to deliver to Bloomberg more than 350,000 petitions and signatures he received Thursday from supporters around the nation. "The mayor would do a lot better cleaning up Wall Street than cleaning up the plaza," he said.

Why bother cleaning it? Let them squat in their own filth. They seem to enjoy it.

So build a cage around them.

Better yet put up one of those corrugated metal fences they use to hide junk yards.

I see those idiots every morning on my way to work and on my way home in the evenings. I am actually looking forward to flu season so I can watch them drop like flies.

With the filth they are living in and their bad diets, Mother Nature is going to weed them out prodigiously. There is no way that these idiots don’t have depressed immune systems.

Water cannon with soap - wash in place. maybe they should add a little of that super slippery riot control compound to help with the flushing.

We never hear specifics. What specifically do they want done to clean up Wall Street?

The financial system and political systems have huge problems, but I don’t think the protesters understand them. I think they are young and stupid, and are just ranting against capitalism and the “evil” business people.

Sorry you have to put up with that. It’s infuriating.

Finally, today, Guiliani condemned the situation and said under his watch it never would have happened. It’s the first time I can remember him contradicting the stupid Bloomberg.

so what they’re saying is that they have no problem living in a shanty town named obamaville infested with stench, disease, fleas, live, rats and all the other unsanitary conditions.

They have just proven that they like to live in squalor and they really are sick unhygienic people

It's starting to stink up the area around them. Plus, the spectacle they create is causing traffic problems and the people who work in that area are getting annoyed with it.

Some friends and I were there Monday and it's getting pretty ripe around there.

It would be good PR if the Tea Party went in with garbage bags, brooms and mops and cleaned up after them. We could call ourselves “Clean Up Wall Street.” We might even be able to recruit some of them to help us fight our corrupt political system.

HERMAN CAIN, SIR!

In the next debate, CLEARLY TIE OBAMA ADMINISTRATION and CONGRESSIONAL DEMOCRAT LEADERSHIP TO THIS FILTHY TRAVESTY OCCURING IN NEW YORK CITY. TIE THEM TO IT AND TIE THEM TO IT LIKE A MILLSTONE AROUND THEIR NECKS.

This will repluse 80% of the American People. Even now, Obamaites are panicking and trying to, in the situation room, extract the President for earlier commital statements in support of this riff-raff in the streets openly defecating.

Giuliani worked hard to clean up New York to make it a place worthy to do business in. Bloomberg is letting all his hard work fall to pieces.

I feel for you. It’s got to be a real pain to deal with that every day....especially for people going by on Trinity Street.

“Debt is Slavery”... that guy probably has no problem with how Obama has run up the national debt. Unless he’s a counter-protester, then he’s just wasting his time.
