The most prominent Republican in the Obama administration is accusing GOP House members of blocking efforts to resolve the nation's problems, partly because they don't want the president to be successful.
Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood was asked at a transportation conference Friday why it was so difficult to get big infrastructure projects built right now.
He responded that "some people don't want Obama to be successful."

No mention of the regulatory nightmare to even build anything since GREEN seized control thru the courts when it comes to almost anything that one would build... nor the fact we are sorely in debt at the hands of his boss.
Ray LaHood is an idiot and has proven so ever since he stepped into the national spotlight during Clinton’s impeachment circus.
How sad. How unfair. How... poopy.
and after Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid and the democrats worked so tirelessly to help President Bush succeed ...
Sometimes you don’t have to drink the cool-ade. The fumes alone are enough.
I would have to ask LaHood.....”When Democrats had the White House, the Senate and the House.....what did they do?” Nothing has a new meaning now doesn’t it?
LaHood is retiring. Now he can speak the truth....the gop establishment and the dems are one and the same.
The question was obviously a set-up and Ray LaHood gave his scripted, anti-Republican answer that ignores the reality that the ‘infrastructure’ that the ‘jobs bill’ is supposedly meant to help repair usually gets a pittance of the total while the rest goes to Democrat cronies and benefits mostly unions and Obama supporters. The usual Obama administration mendacity.
LIBERALS HATE AMERICA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
LIBERALS HATE AMERICA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It’s too late for Zer0 to succeed except in gov’t failures.
Ray “The HOOD” LaHood is an Illinois gangster. This is the conservative Republican that was picked by Obama for Transportation Sec. First suggested, tax drivers per mile on their cars. Illinois piece of poo!
Obama is in desperation mode. Obama admin is trying the Truman angle and incoherent protests. This was telegraphed a couple of weeks ago. No one is buying it.
Remember when you were a child and you were’nt sure if your folks would buy you a pony.
Eventually you would get up the nerve to ask and your folks would say something like, “what are you stupid..DON’T YOU KNOW money grows on trees!?!”
Most of America doesn't want him to succeed you leftist toad. Go back to IL. The GOP doesn't want you and the Left is done using you as a useful idiot.
Sorry there LaHood, we sent these guys to the District of Corruption to STOP THE INSANE SPENDING and OTHER RAT MADNESS. The House has the purse and we expect them to keep it closed as long as ZERO is sitting in the WH.
Better to do nothing than the wrong thing as, provied by Stimulus #1 and Solyndra.
Rats are so stupid. They dig themselves into a deep hole, they keep on digging despite collapsing voter approval, & criticize anyone (Pubs) who refuses to help with the digging.
Like all pathetic libs, Ray attempts to accuse the opposition of exactly what he (and his friends) is guilty of [i.e. Do-Nothing Senate].
Spoken like a true member of the Chigago Thug-eacracy...
Spoken like a true member of the Chicago Thug-eacracy...
a long-time member of the RMSP, a RINO thru and thru..
WE flushed a lot of RMSPs the last couple election cycles but have a lot that are still hanging onn.. the TEA Party and Club for Growth needs to continue to target them aggressively.
Republican Main Street Partnership
love the head shots.. they have a sense of humor, well, some of them sure make me laugh..
Ray LaHood, the guy that tried to ram through trillions of dollars for the “high-speed” train boondoggle versus a “do-nothing” Republican Congress.
I’ll take the do-nothing Congress any day of the week!
(By the way, Republicans only had control of the House since November 2010.)
Doing nothing is far better than doing something, when that something invariably costs us lots of money we don’t have, accomplishes nothing good, and provides yet another swollen trough for the beltway pigs to feast on.
Even better would be doing far less.
Doing nothing is certainly preferable to doing ill - and lahood does ill to America every day he continues to breathe.
I don’t think Obama can be successful with his ideology.
To hope for “Obama success” we have to embrace trillions of dollars of additional debt and massively higher taxes.
Count me as one who hopes he fails, Ray.
OMG pelosi and Reid gas the senate?
DOT seeks comments on environmental justice strategy
By CCJ Staff
Published October 14, 2011
The U.S. Department of Transportation is seeking comments and suggestions on its updated environmental justice strategy to reduce the disproportionately high adverse human health and environmental effects of transportation programs, policies and activities on minority and low-income populations.
Under guidance from the Obama administration, DOT signed an interagency memorandum of understanding in August, inviting agencies to adopt or update their environmental justice strategies. Collectively, DOT and its agencies are in the process of updating guidance and strategy documents.
A key component of the strategy is promoting greater community participation in decision-making processes. From now until Dec. 31, DOT is inviting the public to provide insights, experiences and ideas for enhancing environmental justice in transportation-related activities by signing on to www.ej.ideascale.com.
A good example of why voting for a rino can come back to bite you.
