'Sesame Street' aims to nip bullying in the bud

We all know that many bullies get their start in the sandbox, not the boardroom, and that their youngest victims can nurture the resulting hurt for a lifetime. No surprise, then, that next week, "Sesame Street's" Big Bird and Elmo--who despite their agelessness have been around a long time--will tackle the subject of bullying in its earliest phases.

Three new episodes devoted to bullying air Monday, Tuesday and Friday (Oct. 17, 18 and 21), kicking off a broad initiative that includes a Web page with advice and discussion for parents and activities for kids and a five-part video series that features psychologists, advocates and educators talking about bullying.

Last week; it was a new Hungry Muppet. Focusing attention on the non-issue of hungry children in America.

Now Sesame Street is broaching the subject of gay children.

At least that's my take. Is anyone else noticing the increased attention liberals are placing on bullying these days? Not just mean kids picking on fat kids or nerds - no sir. Now the pedophiles and the gay activists are targeting confused little kids and are calling for drastic measures to be taken against anyone who speaks out against homosexuality in our schools - condemning them as bullies.

I read this article. Nowhere do I see Sesame Steet identifying bullies as being homophobic, but as always with liberals....

Wait for it.

I think people are on to this “anti-bullying” charade. Of course they’ll go directly after kids now.

This appears to be a new tactic by the left. As with the Global Warming hoax they take a position which 90% of people will agree with like We Want Clean Air and turn it into people support our big gov’t Climate Agenda. Same here....Who would say I support Bullying? Then they turn bullying into Anyone who says negative things about Homosexuals,Liberals, ect!

Bullying = Anyone who argues or disagrees with a liberal point of view. Expressing one’s disbelief or contrary opinion to Marxists is bullying. Don’t believe in globull warming, bully. Don’t believe gays should marry, bully. Don’t believe in _____________? Bully.

What!

Typical leftie idiocy: “Hey, let’s give 4 year-olds lessons in how to hurt other people!” After all, if bullying “hurts” and I want to hurt someone, I want all the ammunition I can find.

I love that the number one epithet among American teens today is the word “gay”. 30 years of attempted rainbow indoctrination and all teens have learned is a new way to taunt someone. Kids will be kids. Much better to teach them how to defend themselves - but then they wouldn’t need gov’t to do it for them.

bullying has been redefined as

“expressing disapproval of, or refusing to celebrate, homosexuality”

That’s a great definition.

And if you disagree with any aspect of Obama’s positions? Why that means you’re racist.

Life is so simple for liberals, huh?

You have nailed it.

The anti-bullying push is a homosexual Trojan horse.

I was thinking bullying is exactly the tactic that is used to enforce political correctness. Also it is very “Saul Alinsky”: Pick the target. Freeze it. Personalize it. Polarize It.

I haven’t watched since I was a kid.. my how things have changed. When I was younger, I learned how to defend myself. I didn’t go crying to the government to create another law.
I also didn’t go writing letters to cocaine snorting singers for help either.
