Romney's Bad Advice
Townhall.com ^ | October 14, 2011 | Editor

Campaigning: The GOP front-runner for 2012 sought advice on global warming and carbon emissions from the president's current science czar — an advocate of de-developing America and population control.

Politics is said to make strange bedfellows, but no coupling in our view is more bizarre than when John Holdren, now President Obama's assistant for science and technology, once advised GOP presidential candidate and former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney on environmental policy.

Holdren's bizarre views are best suited for an adviser to someone like, say, Pol Pot.

He views humanity as a plague on the planet and the Industrial Revolution as a tragic mistake. The fewer people, he believes, the better, and he's not shy about the ways he would use to reduce their number.

Why Gov. Romney, a reasonable person, would pick such a man to advise him on anything is beyond us.

On Jan. 1, 2006, Massachusetts became the first state to regulate CO2 emissions from power plants, something the Obama administration is trying to do to all states through the Environmental Protection Agency's draconian job-killing regulations and mandates.

A Dec. 7, 2005 memo from the governor's office announcing the new policy listed among the "environmental and policy experts" providing input to the policy one "John Holdren, professor of environmental policy at Harvard University."

This is the same person who wrote that a "massive campaign must be launched to restore a high-quality environment in North America and to de-develop the United States."

Frankly, I don’t think there is much chance of Mormons taking over the government, and then the world! The Left would never allow it. The possibility of Muslims taking over the government and then the world, however, is not so far fetched. The Left in our country and in Europe is in complete denial about the dangers of Sharia law and seem to be going out of their way to allow Muslims to have their way. Any opposition to them is defined as bigotry.

I got a Romney fund raising letter today. He got my name from the GOP. I called them and told them (GOP) that I no longer wanted to be associated with them.

Well, Google “The White Horse Prophecy”. Memoriam is very similar to Islam in many ways. In fact, Joseph Smith proclaimed himself the new Mohammad! The one world religion will be either Mormon or Islam, and the Left IS the Establishment! The Mormons intent is worrisome. Ignore it at your own peril.

I would hold my nose and cote for Perry over Romney, I THINK, only if Cain is no longer in the race.

I had a call from his campaign and I nicely told them I was sorry, but I was not going to vote for Romney.

It is obvious that Romney can’t break above 25% right now, and the R Establishment is struggling to divide the conservative vote. Cain would be a good President, and Perry would be much better than his detractors on FR claim. If for some reason Bachmann bounces to the top again, I’d be happy with her. Anybody but Romney or Huntsman...

Yes, Willard is worse than Perry.......the same way a leg amputation at the hip is worse than losing a leg at the knee.

A report came on Fox during the “Breakfast Club” time at the local diner in my rural/agricultural area concerning Mr. Holdren’s suggestion of sterilants in public drinking water to control population. Quizzical glances of unbelief were exchanged all around.

Finally, one crusty old cattle farmer said, “If you have gotten yourself into such a shape that you depend on the government to supply something so critical to your life as your water, YOU OUGHT TO BE STERILIZED!”

Imagine how much better shape we would be in forty years if everyone who had lost their connection to the land in this country stopped reproducing! (sorta half-sarc)

Is Romney a neo-Malthusian like Holdren?

I was in the Cain camp before Perry even appeared on the scene. I have a problem with Perry’s immigration policy, his pro stance on the NAFTA highway, and that his state may be teaching Islam in the public schools, as will the public schools in my own state.

Career politicians got us to where we find ourselves today in America! I think Congress should have term limits imposed upon it, 3 terms for the House and 2 three year terms for the Senate with no life time pensions. Every one of the GOP candidates but one on the debate stage are career politicians.

We must make it clear top the GOP that we do not want him as the nominee

The GOP seems far more comfortable with losing than they are with fielding a conservative candidate.
