Advice to all Ill. residents: Increase your number of claimed dependents to reduce your withholding, make the least possible estimated tax payments, especially to the State, making sure you owe it money at the end of the year so it can't stiff yhou on a refund. Also, if at all possible, leave that cesspit ASAP and move to a free state, like TN or TX, provided you don't bring any DemonRat contamination with you.

Government spending and taxes keep increasing. Businesses are leaving the state in droves, the unemployment rate is at 9.9%, and more and more of their population is driven into welfare.

I live in Illinois. Yes they can, and yes they do. Nearly 2/3rds of this state's voters live in Chicago or the nearby suburbs.
Whatever Chicago votes for, the rest of us poor suckers in this state are stuck with. I see the bullsh*t first hand here, every day.
By the way, this is not a recent phenomenon here in the People's Socialist RepubliK of Illannoyed, this "practice" has been going on 8 of the last 10 years as this state has been run into the ground by Democrats. Up until right about 2001, we didn't have these problems. As soon as Lyin' George Ryan -a Progressive/Liberal Republican was elected was when this state's problems began in earnest.
Rod Blagojevich who was elected after Ryan's one and only term in office (Ryan's now in jail) mashed the wild, wreckless spending spree pedal to the floor and made this state's problems 10x worse.
Blagojevich was convicted a few months ago, I can't wait to see him go to jail for the mess he created. Pat Quinn, the current governor(and Blago's Lieutenant Governor) isn't any better. He wants to spend $4 BILLION dollars more this year than the state budgeted - or has money for - even after the son of a bitch jacked up income taxes here 66%.
I hate this state, every politician in it, and I can't wait to get the f*** out.
Our company is actually refusing to do business with the State of Illinois because many of their vendors have to wait up to ONE YEAR before getting paid.

I’m not saying they don’t. I’m saying they can’t. All the roads and other services of a whole state - they can’t do it. They are so focused on that one democraphole.
Like New York State and Maryland, these states are learning that there is a very specific ability and desire of the wealthy, they want to stay wealthy and they have the means to do so. Moving these organizations with modern technology is no longer an insurmountable obstacle.
Just recently another wealthy individual made that transition;
"Buffalo Sabres owner, Tom Golisano, packed up his bags and moved his residency from his native Rochester, New York to Naples, Florida. The move was predicated by the NY tax structure that is affecting so many citizens of the state. Golisano estimates that he can save close to $14,000 a day by making Florida his permanent residence. "
Right now I hear that Wisconsin and Indiana are also soliciting disgruntled Illinois companies like CAT to just move a few miles away and ditch the corruption cesspit!

They control the entire state due to Chicago literally sucking up all this state's resources (read that: TAX DOLLARS.)
You truly have to live in Illinois to see what happens first hand in order to understand it.
