One Google News search item said that a Cuban flag was flying in place of the normal Venezuelan flag. Hmmmmm?! Within last 30 minutes.

“Hugo has assumed ‘Room Temperature’ “

Of course, that temperature depends on which room you end up in.

Nobody saw JFK’s body either.

Both JFK and FDR were Presidents whose power derived from the Constitution. Furthermore, in each instance the death of a President was immediately followed by the Constitutionally ordained succession of the Vice President to the Presidency, and the continuity of power was virtually seamless.

For their faults, FDR and JFK were not brutal fascist dictators who intended to stay in power forever with no designated succassor. There was no need to lie to the people about the circumstances of their deaths.

With Chavez, there is such a need, either for him or his henchmen. The same need for mystery surrounds other dictators like Kim Jong-Il or Fidel Castro or even Muammar Gadaffi.

We’ll be seeing liberals all over wearing their Che and Chavez red shirts. They never met a tyrant they didn’t like.
