Cain tells this hyperbolic joke ALL THE TIME. He's been saying it for MONTHS and the audience laughs.

The NY Slimes are making it into something that it's not.

Apparently Liberals don't have a sense of humor.

Well, it is not a joking matter and if they are going to nail Rick Perry to wall regarding immigration then the same should be done to all. Get serious, what is his plan?

Obviously Perry supporters don’t have a sense of humor either! :D

I get frustrated when people ask what Cain’s plan or stance is on a specific issue. I took a week out of my life and looked ALL of that crap up for myself before I threw my support in behind him. It was hard work and I examined his negatives as well as the positives. I did the same thig with Perry. (Heck, I’ve *lived* in Perry’s world for years. It didn’t take as much to get caught up.)

Anyone who discounts a candidate without doing the legwork to even know what they are disavowing isn’t serious.

Am I the only one with a Google search feature on my computer?

So what *is* Cain’s position on immigration?

Cain wants to secure the border (with many different methods in order to accommodate the assorted terrains), get out of the state’s way when they pass laws that inhibit illegal immigration and simplify and expand the programs that allow LEGAL immigration.

Close the back door. Open the front. Allow people to come in who want to participate in and contribute to our society.

Actually, you’re graphic is 2/3rds incorrect.

Perry is also Pandering where Illegal Immigration is concerned.

And your comment “Zap & Tax” is just pure propaganda where Cain is concerned.

But this is par for the course for Perry APologists.

I have been to two of Cain’s speeches and from what I have heard of his immigration stance is the laws we have are not broke, we just need to enforce them. Take that for what it is worth. I voted for Cain in our straw poll, bought his book, had him sign it, then saw he was ABC and then read about the empowerment zones on HIS website. I cannot stand for another entitlement. Absolutely not. Will not do it. Rick Perry is definitely NOT perfect, but he is my candidate (for now).

Here is a snapshot of the candidate’s immigration policies.

As far as I can tell ‘unhelpful’ means that they haven’t stated or demonstrated a position.

Its temporary to setup a smooth transition to full implementation of the FairTax.

I don't beleive that would ever happen. Once the DC crowd has both a sales and income tax, they will never get rid of either one. The ONLY practical way to replace all our other taxes with a sales tax is to do it all at once in a single bill. Once the income tax, the tax code, and the mechanism to enforce it is gone, and we are actually running without one, then it would be fairly easy to get a consitutional ammendment to prevent a new income tax.

We'll be lucky if we ever get a chance to radically change the tax structure in this country. We better get it right the first time, because it will probably take another 100 years to do it again.

And I AVOIDED all of the articles that were doing nothing more than slamming the ‘heartless’ comment or bashing in-state tuition.

You can filter through all of this stuff as well as i can and find the truth.

“The creation of a new entitlement of empowerment zone is not a conservative value. People are not reading his plan.”

So far, I love 999. I am concerned because there are a lot of detailed questions that we have and no answers yet.

The general principle is sound. The important thing to remember (both from the pro or against position on Cain) is that CONGRESS will ultimately be writing the final bill. Not Cain.

Cain may make suggestions, but we have no idea what’ll land on his desk.

In the end, we must ask ourselves, is 999 (in it’s purest form) a generally good or bad idea?

For better or worse, congress will be the entity who’ll hammer out the details.
