On Face the Nation today, Congressman Darrell Issa updated the public on his latest attempts to investigate the Justice Department for its possible involvement in the ATF Fast & Furious gun sting, but was careful not to accuse any of the involved parties of criminal conduct.
Bob Schieffer asked Issa to respond to charges that hes merely showboating by issuing subpoenas. Issa responded by holding up one of the many pages in the official report given to him by the Justice Department that was completely redacted, and insisting it was important to be thorough in investigating the case. Issa said he was requesting other documents and e-mails from the Justice Department, but they have not been as open to cooperating as one might expect. Issas conclusion? They know they made a horrible mistake.

Yes, I recall the many times the MSM asked Henry Waxman if he were just showboating. s/
Good job, Bob.
Thats some stellar journalism there.
This is a pretty good example of why this viewer tunes in to his program every week.
NOT!
I don’t remember them asking Peter Rodino D N.J. if he was showboating.
I do remember a reporter asking a ballplayer about the SF Giants Willie Montanez & the reply was “there is not enough mustard in the world to cover that hot dog”.
That’s the first time I’ve heard that charge being voiced. It must be coming from Schieffer himself.
Peter Rodino. I cuodn’t remember his name.
Good one.
Scheiffer was probably asking him the questions back then also.
But back then he was acting as prosecuting attorney. Now he is a defense attorney.
It all depends on the initial next to the current President’s name.

I saw it as a fair question that Issa handled deftly. Sheryl Atkisson was at the table too. I thought it was a good interview.
Scheiffer likely helped Gunga Dan vet the NG memos.
“Im not showboating....Im doing your job”
I just Freeped it.

Considering the level of stupidity on display at ATF, the agency might want to consider an insanity defense. The piss-stream media ignores the gangster government's corruption on a daily basis now. Sad, real sad. Nothing to see here, folks, just move along. Ignore the dead bodies. |
Have another muffin Eric.
Can you believe this crap?
Somebody should ask Bob Chauffer if he was showboating, but he probably only knows how to pronounce the word...not what it means.
