IOWA CITY, Iowa Republican presidential candidate Herman Cain has cast himself as the outsider, the pizza magnate with real-world experience who will bring fresh ideas to the nation's capital. But Cain's economic ideas, support and organization have close ties to two billionaire brothers who bankroll right-leaning causes through their group Americans for Prosperity.
Cain's campaign manager and a number of aides have worked for AFP, the advocacy group founded with support from billionaire brothers Charles and David Koch, which lobbies for lower taxes and less government regulation and spending. Cain credits a businessman who served on an AFP advisory board with helping devise his "9-9-9" plan to rewrite the nation's tax code. And his years of speaking at AFP events have given the businessman and radio host a network of grass-roots fans.

Of course you don’t when it is your guy taking someone’s money but when it is someone else, they’re called a crony capitalist and beholden to the people giving the money.
Racist viewpoints like that need to be stopped. :)
Yes, Cain hid that he was the CEO of a major company, on a Fed board, etc.
I thought he lived in a cardboard box. /s
I was thinking the same thig. I really do not know much at all about the Koch brothers. THis manufactured notoriety seemed to come out of nowhere..
George Soros and Jeremiah Wright, however, is another story...
Who do you support?
If Cain is the one who can do that, I'm fine with it.
Take your hyena ankle-nipping elsewhere.
Obama is tied to William Ayers and Jeremiah Wright.
Big step up!
But now, if money starts flowing to Cain, it will be a good thing.
I have been supporting Perry because I believe he has a good record of governing in TX and evidently enough agree they have been supporting him with their dollars but I'm not married to this idea.
The hatred I see here on FR is very disheartening. It's that unless you agree with them, you deserve to be bullied.
We have a very important election to win. Obama and the RATS are destroying this country but our side either insists that our nominee is 100% acceptable or I'm staying home. That is surrender and I refuse to participate.
I want our strongest candidate possible. If it's Cain, it's OK with me. May the best man win.
Al Gore closely tied to Armand Hammer
You might want to have a look in the mirror, Honeybunch.
Geesh.....you must live in a holler if you think that good candidates don't have rich friends and business associates.
Sorry for the diss, but what you said is ridiculous.....or maybe you forgot the sarc tag.
And how this ia a bad thing??????
ia = is
But now that may change if they have to realize that anyone who wants to make a serious challenge to someone, they need money.
Don't worry, if Cain is the guy who can take out Obama, I'm fine with it too, and I have no desire to bad mouth Cain. I may want to support him.
I despise Obama more than I despise any of our people.
Both David and Charles Koch are great American patriots, in my opinion. Having their support makes me feel that much better about Cain. Of course the left will point their fingers and say how eeeevvvvviiiilll the Koch Brothers are, but at least neither of them has been convicted of insider trading, has collapsed a currency, sold out Jews for his own gain, or is a devout socialist like the liberal savior Soros.
What dark secrets about him will surface next, that he pays his electric bill on time every month?
The plot thickens.
That sounds like the Texas version of Alabama's "Well, bless your heart....."
Yeah, it makes you wonder just how long the fascists have been afraid of having Cain on the Republican ticket.
Obviously that’s much worse than being funded by George Soros.
