Coming clean on 'dirty DUIs' in Contra Costa County
LA Times ^ | 10/16/11 | Maura Dolan

David Dutcher met Sharon on Match.com in late 2008, a few months after separating from his wife. "We had a lot in common," he recalled. Sharon loved four-wheel-drive trucks and sports.

They met for coffee, then dinner. Sharon was tall, slender, blond and beautiful. She moaned that she had not had sex in a long time. She told him he had large, strong hands and wondered if that portended other things. She described his kisses as "yummy."

"It felt a lot like Christmas," said Dutcher, 49, a tall, burly engineer with wavy red hair.

Pretty disgusting on how the men got setup ! The lawyer representing the women should be permanently disbarred and all of the participants in the setup should be thrown in jail ! The men should be reimbursed all of the money they spent for defense, fines and increased insurance rates.

—M. Pamela Lauser, Susan Dutcher’s current lawyer, doubts Dutcher will succeed. “Nobody held a gun to his head,” she said of his drunk driving arrest. “Nobody forced him to drink.... The guy was drunk and he was driving. How is that a dirty DUI?”—

Well, a lot of what happens in family court is discressionary. When the court hears what happened to him, I suspect he will get everything reversed. The fact that is ex is trying to make it stick is dispicable.

On a side note, a friend of mine, after his wife goaded him to hit her to no effect, learned from her that her attorney for the divorce she was ABOUT TO FILE, told her that if she could get him to hit her and get a domestic violence call into police, it would really help her divorce case.

Interestingly, a year later, my then wife tried the same thing with me. Out of the blue she started yelling and came up to me and pushed me in the chest so hard that she fell backwards as one pushing off a wall. Unfortunately for her, my argument style is very similar to Mr. Spocks. Heck, maybe that’s why she divorced me. :-D

There are ENTIRE WEB SITES dedicated to telling women how to set up their husband for a domestic violence charge to help them in a divorce.

Mine tried that- unfortunately for her I was in my attorney’s office, on the phone with the judge (trying to set up a court date) when she claimed it happened.

Did not go well for her after that, until the next idiot liberal judge took over.

This is right up there with “swatting” your friends by calling 911 and reporting a bloody murder in progress with automatic weapons involved. Swatting as in provoking an unwarranted armed SWAT response to your home as some kind of sick joke....

That would be attempted murder if you SWATed someone in Tucson.

We must be related.

Fortunately for me, I seem to have found my own "Nurse Chapel".

One of the attorneys my ex interviewed prior to divorcing me suggested she allege abuse. Fortunately, my ex was a decent person and found someone else to represent her. It was a very amicable divorce. We were both reasonable and I didn't even hide an attorney. She didn't need to either, but she did.

Her attorney made it easy on everyone and o even drafted the final decree which he readily signed and I had it signed by the judge ex parte.

lest see...
entrapment is right there

candor to the tribunal.

in discovery the set up must be disclosed failure to disclose by the offending attorney should result in contempt and an automatic bar investigation.

Gee I wonder why lawyers have the reputation of pond scum and are one of the most lowly rated occupations? I see a guy that looks like John Edwards doing this kind of stuff in order to win his crummy case.

Most men would fall for this.

Enough drinks and you start to think maybe that gorgeous woman really has fallen for you.

I thought it was disgusting that no charges are contemplated against the female conspirators.

Wow. This is so disgusting on so many levels. I was just telling my DH if I was getting a divorce and some lawyer proposed such a thing, I would report them immediately. My hope is there was at least one woman who did deny this slimy proposal and instead reported the situation which led to the investigation. Who knows. Maybe there was one principled woman out there.

In a saner time, women like this would be subject to physical retribution, and yes I would support this. The law is not set up for this kind of thing, these “expletive deleted” women should be marked with a facial tattoo by the law. Like the scarlet A, or a C.

FYI. I live in Danville. Our PD, along with San Ramon’s are “contract cities.” That is, the PD’s are i actuality run by the Contra Costa County Sheriff’s Dept. Since this incident, San Ramon has elected to run their own PD. The Sheriff’s Dept. is a $hitball outfit. They are the one’s that failed to adequately investigate neighbors complaints in Antioch where Garrido and his wife held the kidnapped Jaycee Dugard. Needless to say our sheriff isn’t of the Joe Arpaio cut of cloth.

The bitch lawyer representing the women should be jailed. As if the laws arent already against the men big time!!
And the court is just as bad. Today I learned my support order went up $300 to nearly $4000. Due to court erros I am sure which take years to reverse. Are you kidding me!!
