I actually think that Santorum is the most conservative, despite his one mistake in endorsing Arlen Specter.

In 1993, Cain was one of the leaders fighting Clinton-care. The Clinton's attempt at their version of Obamacare. What was Rick Perry doing in 1993?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rick_Perry#Early_political_career

In 1993, Perry, while serving as Texas agriculture commissioner, expressed support for the Clinton health care reform proposal, describing it as “most commendable.” The health care plan was ultimately unsuccessful due to Republican congressional opposition.[23][24][25][26][27] In 2005, after being questioned on the issue by a potential opponent in the Republican governor primary, Perry said that he expressed his support only in order to get Clinton to pay more attention to rural health care.[28]

The man has tanked in the polls. If he is the best we can do, we might as well throw in the towel.

Geesh

Perry needs to come out and make a public ‘read my lips’ pledge that he will under NO circumstances sign a bill legalizing any one living in this country illegally.

As it stands he has convinced me and others that given the chance he would destroy the party helping Dems with another bi-partision Liberal-RINO immigration reform amnesty bill, much like Bush did in 2007. “See you at the signing”

Cain’s problem besides money, and his terrible tax plan, is that he has no organization in any early election states. I think he didn’t ever expect to be a front runner. He joined the race to shake things up and get his ideas out (much like Newt), and to sell his book. Now suddenly, by default. he is a front runner, but he’s still acting like he’s on a book tour. He’s not in the early primary states, and doesn’t seem to be building any organiztion there. It’ll be interesting, to say the least, if he can translate debate success and nationwide popularity into votes early on.

I just wanted to say to everyone that Herman Cain won’t kill all the illegals or build a 5-mile deep minefield between Mexico and America. Nor will he simply deport them all.

Herman Cain is weak on immigration, thus is a pro-Mexican traitor.

Bottom line is Conservatives must rally around one candidate to keep Romney from winning the Primaries. Rush has refused to endorse one candidate or another, so we need to get Bachmann and Santorum to drop out and support one candidate. I don’t like Perry on immigration (since I live in occupied Kalifornia), but the author is probably right - Perry is the most electable Conservative, unless Cain puts together a major campaign organization quickly.

Perry’s “attempts to defend” his actions were incoherent at best. It is his debate performance that has sunk his candidacy. Without the ability to clearly define himself, and defend his record, he dropped quickly in the polls.

What the picture does not show is the hundreds of ugly windmills that pollute the Texas skyline between Abilene and Amarillo and the many dead birds surrounding each windmill.

Yeah, green energy.

Unfortunately Perry’s debate performance sank his chances at the nomination..

I agree. It was one thing to get relected three times in Texas, but Perry doesn’t come across good to the rest of the country. I did vote for him all three terms, but I never liked him.

Well Stemberger better give Perry a call and advise him to show up prepared for the debate tonight. You can’t win it if you are only half azzed in it.

Pegged the BS meter in the first paragraph. No reason to read further.

“We have six very impressive, lifelong conservative candidates running for the presidency.”

Hard to tell what Herb will do considering he has no political record other than yakking an opinion on the radio. Of course, that is subject to change....

The man cannot hold his own in a debate. The democrat candidate and his allies in the media will make mincemeat out of him.

You say about the longest serving Governor in the history of the United States. Try to keep in mind that when he made his "heartless" comment he was dealing with part of the state of Texas the size of several Eastern States being on fire and that very day Obama was worried that his continued denial of federal disaster funds to Texas would be used against him in the debates so he "sent in the Federal Government to help" who got there and sent fire fighters home because they didn't have the proper permits.

I also find it odd that every time we turn around Cain is having to apologize for something stupid he said but that doesn't seem to mater. Starting to look like we got a lot of Mittens here fanning the flames.

Perry's real record on the border is outstanding, we passed voter ID, spent $400 Million to protect the border (not his job but has not choice but to do it) and has joined Gov. Brewer in every law suit filed against her or that she has filed to help Arizona carry the financial burden of being sued by the US Government. The only person running who understands the border is Perry. Cain proved that with his stupid "joke" about his killer fence and Bachmann, et al, prove it with the "We want a fence the entire length of the border". Exactly which side of the Rio Grande are we going to put it on and exactly how are we going to fence down the middle of lakes?

Obama will not debate well without his teleprompter.

What’s Obama going to say? debating Perry?

I’m better on immigration? NOT- Perry put more money and manpower on the border than Obama did.

I’m better at creating jobs? Huh? (None of the candidates created jobs other than Perry)

I’m better because I’m pro abortion? NOT— Perry is and always has been. Romney flip flopped. Cain is state right on this issue.

I’m better because I cut taxes? NOT— Perry did. None of the other candidates cut anyones taxes)

I’m better because I created obamacare? NOT— (Romney Loses)

I’m better because I supported Israel? NOT— Perry does.

I’m better because I’m stronger on the 10th Amendment?
NOT— Perry is a huge supporter of the 10th Amendment.

I’m better because I’m stronger on the 2nd Amendment?

Nobody and I mean nobody is a stronger supporter of the right to own guns than Perry. Nobody.

What’s Obama going to say? I’m a supporter of guns for the drug cartel???????????????

I’m better because you don’t have experience? Only Perry and Romney has experience in governing - you choose

I’m better because I lowered regulations? NOT- Perry did.

I’m better because I’m a conservative? NOT

I’m better because I served in our military? NOT
Perry served in the military as a C-130 pilot in the United States Air Force.

I’m better because I uh uh um uh uh um uh can work with foreign leaders?

NOT - AND YOU WON’T SEE PERRY BOWING TO ANY OF THEM.

YOU WILL NOT SEE PERRY APOLOGIZING FOR AMERICA EITHER!
