Just fine - however do not shut down the investigation. Let's go after those responsible (and that does include Eric Holder); expose everything behind it and why it began in the first place. Somehow I'm thinking it was dreamed up by a bunch of anti-gun folk inside the government demanded by their loyal anti-Second Amendment folk.

The way to shut down any opposition to governments around the world, is to take away their way to defend themselves against despots.

I'm fearing more and more, that not only Obama but many inside these unelected bureaucrats in various agencies, would like nothing more than for the American people to be unable to stand down in the face of opposition.

Dear Mr. Obama,
Your plan to demonize the Second Amendment, or even overturn it using an international treaty, cannot work any more. Fast and Furious has been exposed.

You must find another way.
Love,

Your Democrat-Controlled Senate

PS: Together we will think of something. Don't panic.

If we can't break up the drug smuggling routes, why would we fantasize that we can break up the gun smuggling routes? Why do we pretend we don't know where the guns are going? We don't know who the higher-ups in the cartels are?

Truly, there are seriously stupid people in charge of our gubmint.

Fine...make sure they can't do it again. but never let up on taking them to task for that which they have already done. They have innocent blood on their hands and they must be held accountable for it.

There should be no “IF” conditions. Stupid nonsense otherwise.

Good start, now start repealing some of the laws on the books. Let’s start with the sporting purpose clause of the 1968 GCA and all laws based on that. Then we can move to the NFA and Hughes Amendment. Yes, this is punitive demands for that fracked up operation. Oh, and Holder and all the upper echelon who knew and authorized this mess need to go to jail for TREASON.

Right... so I suppose Holder may now say Fast & Furious occurred before the Senate had voted to end such practices.

He'll try. The whole thing sounds orchestrated to create the perception that everything that was done was perfectly legal, just poorly executed.

If it wasn't legal, then there wouldn't be any need for Congress to tell them not to. Now they can say it's been addressed, and we can all just "move on".

An Act of War was committed against Mexico, without the resolution of the Senate or Congress as required by the constitution.....

And this is the best the Senate could DO? We are underwhelmed!

The 99-0 vote would block the government from transferring guns to drug cartels unless federal agents "continuously monitor or control" the weapons. The amendment's sponsor, Sen. John Cornyn, R-Texas, called the vote "just the first step towards ensuring that such a foolish operation can never be repeated by our own law enforcement."

The Justice Department has already stopped the program.

A Justice Department official, who spoke on condition of anonymity because Congress did not ask the department for its views, said the amendment essentially reflects DOJ policy.

"Oh what a tangle web we weave - when we SPIN IT to deceive ..."

DOJ trying to say that Congress is reflecting DOJ's policy ... HA! HA! DOJ stopped it 'cuz they fu*ked up and they knew that the details of the fiasco were gonna come out ...

As far as Congress is concerned, the 99-0 vote gives Senate Dems cover becuz this debacle ISN'T going away. It is gonna rot like a fish from the head down throughout election season.

The GOP is sittin' pretty on this now. The 99-0 vote gives them credence for their demands that the White House give up the internal documents to Congress. The Senate Dems cannot come out publicly against this 'cuz of their vote to end the program ...

Did the august Senate get around yet to passing a law prohibiting break-ins at the Watergate Hotel?
