Ann Coulter's razor sharp wit, her unbending conservative principles made her one of my favorite commentators. However this election cycle she seems to have lost it. First she was in the tank for Christie. The last time I checked he was pretty much the political equivalent of the same positions as Bill Clinton- without the smarminess of course. Now that he has thankfully bowed out she appears to be totally in the tank for Romney-proclaiming tonight that the race is over and it's Romney's. What is the point of winning an election if the person that wins the election does not hold conservative values? Her Twitter tweets were so pro Romney tonight I dropped following her. Am I wrong- did anyone else notice this? If I posted a vanity in the wrong location I apologize - I have been on here for years but don't post often.

Stop looking for heroes. She’s just a human being. She connects sometimes and sometime misses. So what?

She’s on the ‘anybody but Obama’ train and has bought in to the liberal media’s ‘Romney has the best chance of winning’ screed.

She’s channeling some of Christie’s excess fat to keep her alive.

I don't agree with her at all times. Her decisions as of late are certainly case and point of why. Supporting Romney?!?

It is one thing to be on the 'anyone but Obama' train, it is a whole other to jump behind a RINO. Perhaps she is due out with a new book and is needing air time on MSM networks - this would certainly get her the invites.

I wont throw her under the bus yet, but I shoved her near the exit for darn sure.

Coulter jumped the shark when she went in full-tilt with the pillow-biters. At the most basic level, she's establishment elite. It's too bad.

A lot of people we thought were conservatives will sell their souls for Mitt Romney. The ones in the tank for Romney will all have to be marginalized and defeated if we ever want to take the party--and our country--back.

The short answer — all the snarky FReeper comments aside — is, yes, Ann has turned aside for the way, so to speak. Ann bought so much into Christie that now she’s migrated to Romney, and while she still lays claim to “conservatism,” her decisions and opinions over the last year or so show she has departed from the thoroughly principled Conservatism of her past. FOr instance, supporting and speaking at CPAC with the “Log Cabin Republicans” (homosexual Republicans) as a sponsor organization. She spoke out favorably of that, and condemned others who didn’t. So, she’s off the conservative reservation. As another poster said, she’s not perfect. Hopefully it’s not a permanent deviation. Maybe she’ll find her way back to the fold. Otherwise she’ll end up like, oh, David Brooks, or Kathleen Parker, or Peggy Noonan — just one more washed up “Inside-The-Beltway” pundit looking for a TV gig on a news network no one ever watches.

As much as I have enjoyed her pontificating through the years, Ann is a slut. As such, she is a very unrepentant woman who thinks her personal life will not suffer from her personal intimate actions.

We are nothing of we do not amend our own actions when they become contrary to God’s laws. If we refuse, then God will remove the wisdom he blesses us with.

Solomon’s wisdom was nothing after he fell into the temptation of false gods brought to him by the thousands of women he bedded down. His wisdom was removed, and it was not until he was a very old man that he realized his sins. (read Ecclesiastes) Unfortunately the cancer effected his whole kingdom because he had taxed the citizens into rebelling against his chosen successor.

Sorry to be blunt, but I pray Ann reads what I wrote and changes her ways.

I think it started after Palin came on the scene. She has been overshadowed by her and by Bachman, for that matter, and her personal prejudices have begun to show. No one likes to be a has-been, and she is struggling to remain relevant.

Ann's biggest problem is that, like George Will and Laura Ingraham, she would rather be a cocktail party conservative than a Tea Party conservative.

But, even though Ann looks down on you and me she still wants us to buy her books so she can continue to enjoy the style she has become accustomed to.

For Coulter to try to regain her conservative bona fides she should list what all of her conservative beliefs are, list all of the anti-conservative deal-breaker points of view that she simply cannot abide, then see which candidate best fits the most positives while having the fewest negatives. Romney would fare poorly in an honest review.

On a completely unrelated track, perhaps someone has some dirt on Coulter that could potentially devastate her in a way that she could never recover. Blackmail could cause a person to slowly and steadily slide from their true beliefs to a position that the blackmailer wants the victim to hold. Coulter has associated with some shady people in the past and it wouldn’t surprise me if I found out she was compromised by those associations.

Regardless, your analysis is correct and there’s definitely something up. She ain’t who she was. And the change has not been a good thing.

I used to be a huge fan of Ann Coulter's

Apparently not that big of a fan. She has been quite open about who she hangs out with and finds entertaining, i.e; Bill Maher and Joy Bayar, for years. She is a run of the mill NE Rockefeller Repub who found a way to keep her in Chardonnay and cigarettes, writing red meat books for the right. She is a GOProuder and has never done anything personally that would put her to the right of Christie Creme.
