How does one assume complete power over a nation?
By getting one group of people in the nation to start hating another group of people and then make the targeted group the rallying point around which all others can focus their hatred and blame.
In the late 1700s, a politician by the name of Maximilien Robespierre was a very articulate member of the left-wing bourgeoisie in France. The French people for the most part lived in poor conditions. Robespierre began to blame the French aristocracy for the squalid lifestyles of the people. The French populace rallied around his hatred of the royals until the nation erupted into what is known as the French Revolution.
Robespierres actions also led to the Reign of Terror in which the vast majority of the French aristocracy and wealthy were attacked by the people. Many were beaten to death, others guillotined and yet others imprisoned.
After the French Revolution, much of the people found their living conditions to worse than it was before the revolution.

More: "I truly believe that Obama and his socialist cronies would like nothing better than to incite a revolution in America which would allow them to assume dictatorial control.
The Occupy Wall Street movement provides the perfect scenario for them to sow their seeds of hatred and disillusionment for the wealthy and anyone anti-union and anti-government hand-outs.
And if you dont think it could happen here, neither did the French, Russians or Germans."
Uh oh!
Somebody wants to get fired from ESPN, right?
Wars have been fought for a helluva lot less reasons than a stray tweet .. or a ‘social(ist) network’ movement .. or other intrigues.
The truth hurts and many people don’t want to hear it. If these few thousand people think they can sway the millions, they better think twice. Someone will get hurt.
What the left would really like to do is perform a second holocaust on all Christians and Jews in America.
Seriously.
Coulter discusses this in depth in DEMONIC
“.....one group of people in the nation to start hating another group of people....”
Now, that should part of the “hate crime” law.
I confess I don’t follow French history as closely as US or British history, but was there not a horribly failed “mini” revolution where the revolutionaries tried to turn it hot but the rest of the masses didn’t join in, resulting in them being massacred?
Could you give me a link to that? I had mentioned it to someone and they asked about the actual quote. I could not find it. I found the one where he says He wishes he could do it without congress. But that is the only one I could find. I could have sworn He said something with the actually phrase "dictator".
“After the French Revolution, much of the people found their living conditions to worse than it was before the revolution.”
That has been the case after every revolution, the American Revolution included.
Here are the differences.
One was able to bring home the Olympics.
One could give an entire speech without notes let alone a teleprompter.
One was able to turn the entire economy around while the rest of the world stayed in a depression.
After three years as its leader one of them was loved as their leader.
One established a space program (V2) while the other destroyed a space program (NASA).
One of them was feared by it enemies.
One of them took a country out of it greatest depression and made them a world leader in almost everything. Science, engineering, and manufacturing.
One of them respected the history of the country they were leading.
One of them respected Churchill’s abilities.

On Monday my doctor performed a colinosscopy and found a Opolip and removed it.
The country will recuperate when Obomlip is impeached,
Let’s hope that our leftists end up with the same fate as Mr. Robespierre.
You may be thinking about the Russian revolt of 1905.
Thank you.

Today we are concerned about issues such as doctor-assisted suicide, abortion, the use of fetal tissue, genetic screening, birth control and sterilization, health-care rationing and the ethics of medical research on animals and humans. These subjects are major challenges in both ethics and economics at the end of the twentieth century. But at the beginning of the twentieth century the desire to create a more scientific medical practice and research had already raised the issues of euthanasia, eugenics, and medical experimentation on human subjects. In addition, the increasing involvement of the German government in medical care and funding medical research established the government-medical complex that the National Socialists later used to execute their extermination policies. ..."
