Romney serves up Perry's blooper reel (BOY is Mitt thin-skinned)
Washington Times ^ | Octobe 19, 2011 | by David Eldridge

The Mitt Romney camp, which launched an anti-Rick Perry website, careerpolitician.com, on Tuesday, unveiled a new Web ad this afternoon that is, essentially, a collection of the Texas governor's worst moments from the GOP presidential debates he's participated in since joining the race in August.

The Romney campaign announced the new video, titled "Ready to Lead?" on Facebook by asking followers "Do you think Governor Perry would be able to challenge President Obama in a debate?"

The video includes footage from Mr. Perry's performance in Tuesday night's Las Vegas debate, which most observers agreed was the governor's strongest.

All Obama is going to have to do in a debate with Mitt is bring up the illegals he had working for him.

We know how well that will go for Mitt.

I think his hang up is taking on multiple targets.

The target is Barry but the media is pitting these two guys against each other and the others against each other.

They need to stay focused on the target until December when a couple of guys and maybe a gal will have run out of money.

Then they can take it to each other.

However, if they are going to have to go after each other then Perry just needs to accept the terms of the debates and stick it to Romney like no other candidate can.

I mean Wham! Bam! Kazaam!

Just wipe the floor with Romney. Guy has a glass jaw anyway and if you do it with enough verve and rapid fire, Romney will lose his cool eventually and that will be that. Buh, Bye.

Debates more than a year outside of an election do not decide a candidates future.Using a debate to decide on a candidate is like using a 4 minute TV commercial to decide your personal future.

Not only is it arcane, but it is the province of foolishness we have been taught to accept by the MSM.

But history and candidates’ conduct do decide:

Perry has of the current field the best record of experience in governance and service to his country.

We should not use MSM standards to judge Rick Perry. Its exactly what the WAPO left wants to happen as it dismisses Perry outright. Yes Perry has conservative shortcomings in several areas of his record, on immigration policy for example, but he stands head and shoulders above all of them on governance experience and service to the nation and his sins are minor compared to Romney’s.

We shouldn’t elect a TV personna this time, besides, he often carries a Ruger .380 auto when he jogs, that alone earns my vote, LOL.

This says it all, Perry will beat the ass off Obama if he secures the nomination,he has nailed him before directly and has the balls to take Obama on face to face as a matter of official duty, unlike any of the other candidates ( see the video):

http://www.myfoxaustin.com/dpp/news/local/gov.-perry’s-letter-to-obama-asks-1000-troops-to-secure-border

Perry has consistently followed the policy of manned border security and put it too Obama personally. Obama’s reaction was to harass Texas with the EPA.

Perry is a good man, the best of the field:

C-130 Rick Perry: He Flew The World Before Politics

Abilene Online

By Sarah Kleiner Varble

Rank: Retired as a captain

Hometown: Haskell

Crew job: C-130 aircraft commander

Served in the Air Force: 1972 to 1977

Dyess AFB tour: March 4, 1974, to Feb. 28, 1977

His story:Way back before he was governor of Texas, Rick Perry had two choices as a young member of the Air Force.

He could either follow his dream and work toward becoming an instructor pilot in the sleek T-38, or he could fly the hulking C-130, planes that affectionately were referred to as “trash haulers” by Perry and his cohorts.

“There was no telling what you were going to haul around on any given day, from high value cargo like human beings to the colonel’s kitty litter,” Perry told the Reporter-News in a recent phone interview.

He wanted to fly T-38s, but not badly enough to move to Selma, Ala., where he would have been assigned. So, Perry chose to stay in Texas and fly the C-130.

In 1974, he moved to Dyess Air Force Base, about 55 miles from his hometown of Haskell, and began a career that took him all over the world and shaped his political future.

“It was one of the great adventures of my life,” Perry said. “I had a fairly pedestrian life until I was 23 years old.”

Perry could count on one hand the number of trips he had taken out of his home state by the time he graduated from Texas A&M University, but everything changed when he joined the Air Force.

Flying C-130s, Perry lived in Germany and Saudi Arabia. He flew in Central and South America, North Africa and all over Europe.

“I saw all of these different types of governments and I made the connections to how the people acted and looked, and it became abundantly clear to me that, at that particular point in time, that America was this very unique place and that our form of democracy was very rare,” Perry said. “ ... That was the greatest gift I received from my years of being in the military, and they really shaped my outlook on the rest of my life.”

Perry retired from the Air Force in 1977 — but not without one last adventure.

As his final days approached, Perry was assigned to a mission to “haul trash” to Bermuda with a relatively inexperienced crew.

“I’m sure the young guys stayed up a little longer than the older guy, which would be me at 26 years old,” Perry said, and they fell asleep on the way back to Abilene.

About the time the plane reached Atlanta, a fire light for the No. 3 engine flashed once. And then it flashed again.

Perry poked his co-pilot as the light reappeared and held steady on red.

Using the headset, he asked the loadmaster to take a look at the engine from the window and about that time, the engine exploded and blew a tail pipe off the plane.

“He started screaming that we were on fire and that we were all going to die,” Perry said. “The aircraft operated as advertised and flies amazingly well on three engines.”

Perry and his crew were stuck at Pope Air Force Base while awaiting a new engine. With three days left in his enlistment, Perry called the command post at Dyess and informed them that they would have to send a new pilot along with the engine if they didn’t hurry.

“I said, ‘In three days, I’m not Captain Perry anymore, I’m Mr. Perry, and I’m going home,” Perry said.

The engine arrived and the plane returned to Dyess in time for Perry to retire Feb. 28, as planned.

He went on to be elected to the state House of Representatives, agriculture commissioner, lieutenant governor and, finally, governor of Texas.

Heeeee! I love it! Let these 2 buffoons keep duking it out publically. It only serves to strengthen Cain & Gingrich’s positions.

The only thing Mittens had going for him was his “presidential” demeanor and coolness under pressure. He does not do attack dog well.

Pass the popcorn! This race is getting interesting! Go Mitt! Go Mitt! rofl

Perry should lift that line from America’s Mayor and tell it like it is.

Just take the whole thing verbatim and be done with it.

Sanctuary Mansion, et all.

Sorry, Cain made it clear he doesn’t want anything to do with Perry. He would be happy to be Myth’s VP though.

Obama and the DNC must have enjoyed the debate and this commercial very much. Our candidates need to focus on their own positive qualities and stop attacking one another. It is a “debate” so there should be disagreements, but there were some low blows last night and that was disappointing. Only one of them can win and we want that person to be stronger from going through this process not hobbled.

Perry is not a GOP dark horse,he is in it to win!

He might be in it to win it, but he is not succeeding. The lib can’t even win Texas. How embarrassing is that.

It is amazing that Romney is so obsessed with Perry when Perry is way down according to the polls and he and many have declared the Perry campaign dead. Why doesn’t he attack Cain who is leading him in the polls and create an anti Cain website? Why doesn’t Cain attack Romney his main competitor according to the polls?

Why on earth is Perry bringing up illegal lawn people?

He should be hitting Romney relentlessly on Romneycare. That’s it.

In addition, he should largely ignore Romney and attack Obama.

and myth can ask obama if he deported his uncle yet. stalemate

By the way why aren't they releasing the names of companies in Texas that hired illegals anymore? And why isn't Perry pressuring them to do so if he is so opposed to illegals?

Big names on list of companies ICE fined

Immigration and Customs Enforcement officials have decided that they are no longer releasing information to the public on companies fined for hiring illegal immigrants.

Despite talking tough about cracking down on employers who break federal immigration laws, ICE is withholding the names and other identifying information about the companies it penalizes, essentially protecting them from public scrutiny.

Richard Rocha, an ICE spokesman, said ICE attorneys have advised them not to disclose information about the fines because of a pending case before the Supreme Court that looks at whether corporations have a right to “personal privacy.”

We’d make the argument, however, that there is a public interest in learning which companies were fined. We have a copy of the list of companies hit with civil fines from 2007 through mid-July and, which was converted into a database and published here on the blog. (To view this database, click on the “continue reading” this post link at the bottom.)

For example, Westex Well Services, a company headed up by Texas Tech University Regent Mickey Long, paid $60,984 to immigration officials earlier this summer. (That’s the 16th largest fine nationally and the third-largest in Texas since 2007.)

Long was appointed to his regent position by Gov. Rick Perry in February 2009. He has contributed $135,000 to Perry’s campaign over the years and is listed as his co-chair for fundraising based out of Midland. (Long did not return phone calls to his home or business seeking comment.)

There are some big names on this list of 220 companies: Koch Food of Cincinnati, LLC ($536,046), Johnson Dairy LLC out of Colorado ($100,800), and American Rice Inc. of Texas ($5,486). end excerpt

Come on Perry, show us how tough you are on illegals and those that hire them. Release the names of the companies so that the free market can work and people can boycott those companies if they want.

Barack is lame, but he’s got the media and a billion dollars.

Isn’t it amazing that the Republican candidate goes into every general election debate knowing the moderator is for the Democrat, knowing it’s two-on-one?

Perry (or whoever) is going to have to stay sharp for 90 minutes. He won’t be 1 of 7 candidates on a stage.

Rove said the other day that Cain wouldn’t be around much longer. The way he said it made me think the GOP is going to do something dirty. They may have told Romney that they would take care of Cain. Just a possibility.
