Romney serves up Perry's blooper reel (BOY is Mitt thin-skinned)
Washington Times ^ | Octobe 19, 2011 | by David Eldridge

The Mitt Romney camp, which launched an anti-Rick Perry website, careerpolitician.com, on Tuesday, unveiled a new Web ad this afternoon that is, essentially, a collection of the Texas governor's worst moments from the GOP presidential debates he's participated in since joining the race in August.

The Romney campaign announced the new video, titled "Ready to Lead?" on Facebook by asking followers "Do you think Governor Perry would be able to challenge President Obama in a debate?"

The video includes footage from Mr. Perry's performance in Tuesday night's Las Vegas debate, which most observers agreed was the governor's strongest.

If you are not a Southern Redneck, why would you wan to do harm to the reputation of an honorable man like Herman Cain? Romney is a white Obama and a career politician. But Cain wants to restore the country and he knows exactly how do it. He has a reccord of doing that with any company he’s been with in 40 some odd years. If anyone else had a “plan” why didn’t they announce it last night?
Most of Perry’s new jobs went to illegal aliens from what I hear. I would sooner vote for Perry than for Romney however.

Interesting because I’ve heard it announced that Herman Cain has beaten Obama by two points in some poll, and Ithink he was the only one who did.

You might like Perry even better after looking at this. It is written by someone who doesn't really like Perry but he's honest. It's very interesting and hopeful for the rest of the country [more at link]:

Misfire: Romney Ad Targets Rick Perry's Jobs Record I think it's safe to say the Romney campaign is going for the kill with its latest attack on Rick Perry. The former Massachusetts Governor has already gotten a fair amount of mileage out of attacking his Texan rival from the left on Social Security, and from the right on immigration, but this new spot strikes at the heart of the Perry campaign's raison detre -- jobs, jobs, jobs:

The Facts --Mitt Romney's political ad

[snip]

The spot's most striking image is a tumbleweed blowing along a deserted Texas highway. That's rich. It's intended to create the impression that Rick Perry's Texas is something of a depressed ghost town. Nothing could be further from the truth. Since the recession began, desperate job seekers have flocked to Texas at a clip of roughly 1,000 people per day. And they're finding work, too. Despite a huge population influx and a bruising national recession, Texas' unemployment rate remains below the national average. How remarkable has the Lone Star State's economic performance been? Read this Political Math analysis (written by a self-professed non Perry supporter), and marvel. One telling data point:

Lengthy cut-and-pastes don’t change the sad fact that he ain’t that bright.>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Well, when were YOU governor of Texas? LOL.

Have you served in the military?Fly any planes?

How could someone who is as you say, not bright, accomplish such things...command officer of a c-130 crew for many years?

Its not true, you are dealing with imagery, smoke and mirrors, thats all the debates are.Even Mark Levin has said repeatedly that the MSM format for debate sets a format which makes the debate "unwinable" and most on here assume it is a winable format? The left wants the right to use their imagery standards....what a laugh.Let THEM pick your candidate for you? Buahahahahahaha!

Rick Perry is the best candidate for conservatives and has the record to prove it.

Doug Urbansky, who supports Herman Cain, has said that Perry supporters send him the nastiest emails he has received from anyone. I am convinced they are warmed over Thompson groupies. Rather than selling their candidate they repel people from him with their viciousness.

Herman Cain has been the most presidential, and innovative of any of the candidates so far.

Maybe that’s why the Perryactrics are battering Mr,. Cain’s supporters the most! Sorry ladies and gents, but that approach will not work.

Romney has that slick TV preacher look. If he let his hair go all gray, he'd look a bit like Benny Hinn; especially if he got the Benny Hinn spray-on tan look. Only question is: who is more credible?

The lib can’t even win Texas.

Sorry. That's a stupid statement. Perry is the only executive in all of Texas History (175 years) to win three consecutive elections. Not even Sam Houston did that!

It’s interesting that Romney does not choose to go after Cain.

Romney is under the mistaken impression that Perry is his biggest threat to the nomination; and he is wrong.

Cain refuses to completely seal the border and deport all the illegals. He’s unacceptable as well!

I’ve read, here on FR, when Cain was with the Fed and waiting to be moved “up”, 911 happened. He recommended all of our banks become federalized. This gives me an uneasy feeling about the true Cain. He’s nice to watch, he’s not afraid to disagree with the msm, but he does have an advantage the other candidates do not have.

The Cain Train will derail long before the end of March. I just hope it doesn’t taken Perry or Bachmann with it.
