How about a 50 percent pay cut for every federal employee except the military? Or, we could do a 50 percent federal employee personnel cut (except the military) AND a 50 percent pay cut for the remainder. That's fair.

Yeah. We live near the DC area. Restaurants are ALWAYS full, movie theaters, always packed. Malls — you can’t get near one on a weekend ... we’ve always commented that there just seems to be NO recession or hard times here.

However, our house value did fall some $50K within these last few years.
