Steve Forbes leaning towards supporting Rick Perry
Fox ^ | Oct 19, 2011

Steve Forbes was in Boston and spoke about the 2012 Presidential race and why he's leaning towards supporting Rick Perry.

"I'm obviously leaning towards Governor Perry. I talked to his people about the flat tax and I think that's the way to go," says Steve Forbes.

"I think with the formal unveiling next week he'll truly be a frontrunner again and will be dominating the debate."

Forbes promoted a flat tax plan when he ran for president in 1996 and 2000. He favors a simplified tax plan and starting over again on healthcare.

Ah, there it is! Your first instinct is to lie and intimidate.

Typical of a 3%er -- accuse others of lying when they have not. How incredibly weak.

My opposition to in-state tuition is well-documented.

I can't comment on that. But I do know your defense of ILLEGAL aliens sure is.

You don't scare me.

You really aren't very perceptive. I wasn't trying to scare you. My post proved wrong your wild-eyed assertion that I am astroturfing when in fact I am in the majority. It is you who are astroturfing, but that's what you 3%ers do. You must, because, like La Raza Rick you enjoy an incredibly scant amount of support.

Astroturf away, put your head in the sand, push other freepers around. It won't change what happened to the CA-GOP and when it happens nationally, remember your part in it.

When we take America back from the likes of liberals and other pro-ILLEGAL alien moonbats I will gladly take my share of the credit, small as it may be. And do you really feel pushed around? You really are weak.

I couldn't help but notice that you completely ignored the facts contained in my last post, be it the fact that you are in a small minority with your defense of ILLEGAL invaders and the fact that your views conflict with that of the owner of this forum. Why is that? I asked you a question last post; does JR 'lack perspective' also? After all, he does not agree with you or liberals across America that we should be giving taxpayer funded subsidies to ILLEGAL aliens. Don't be a coward, answer the question.

You can continue your weak attacks on me; it doesn't bother me any more than it would if it were coming from the average liberal -- which it could. But you are attacking me for sharing the same opinion of the owner of this forum. Say what you will about me, but I would advise you to not attack the concept because it is his as well.

Have a nice night.

Obama without a teleprompter.

What’s Obama going to say? debating Perry?

I’m better on immigration?
Perry put more money and manpower on the border than Obama did.

I’m better at creating jobs?
Perry created more jobs then Obumer.

I’m better because I’m pro abortion?
Perry is and always has been pro-life.

I’m better because I cut taxes? (NOT)
Perry kept taxes low in Texas.

I’m better because I created obamacare?
(imagine Romney debating that) Perry and the Texas Attorney General Abbott sued the Fed over obamacare.

I’m better because I supported Israel?
Perry strongly supports Israel and has railed Obama regarding his position.

I’m better because I’m stronger on the 10th Amendment?
NOT— Perry is a huge supporter of the 10th Amendment.

I’m better because I’m stronger on the 2nd Amendment?
Nobody and I mean nobody is a stronger supporter of the right to own guns than Perry. Nobody.
All Perry has to say is: You support running guns to the Mexican drug cartels on the border but not for American Citizens right to bear arms.

I have tort reform legislation? NOT - Perry Did

I’m better because you don’t have experience?
Perry has over a decade of governing experience.

I’m better because I lowered regulations? NOT- Perry did.
Perry also fought tooth and nail against Obama’s EPA.
In fact Perry and the state of Texas sued EPA.

I’m better because I’m a conservative? NOT - Perry is.

I’m better because I served in our military? NOT
Perry served in the military as a C-130 pilot in the United States Air Force.

I’m better because I uh uh um uh uh um uh can work with foreign leaders?

NOT - AND YOU WON’T SEE PERRY BOWING TO ANY FOREIGN LEADERS.

YOU WILL NOT SEE PERRY APOLOGIZING FOR AMERICA EITHER!

I certainly hope the one on one debates will see a better debater in Perry, than he has so far.

A moment in the wayback machine, if we may:

“Mar 29, 2007 · Rudolph W. Giuliani accepted the endorsement of Steve Forbes yesterday and embraced Mr. Forbes’s signature issue, saying he liked the idea of a flat tax ...”

Just in case we forgot. Wait... didn’t Perry endorse Giuliani also?

Smart men, all three of them

It does strike me that if the vast majority of people don't want this... why aren't there any ballot initiatives to end the practice?

Specially in California, where it’s practically a fetish.

I think the ‘debating Obama’ issue is a red herring.

Obama can’t even speak to kindergarteners without a teleprompter, so why does anyone think Obama can debate?

It does strike me that if the vast majority of people don't want this... why aren't there any ballot initiatives to end the practice?

That's a great question.

Five states have enacted laws that specifically prohibit spending taxpayer dollars on instate tuition for ILLEGAL invaders.

8 U.S.C. § 1623 : US Code - Section 1623 prohibits giving instate tuition to ILLEGAL aliens based on residency. But this law has been circumvented first Texas and now by California wherein they changed the criteria for eligibility from being a resident of the state to having attended 3-years of high school.

California, being the liberal mecca that it is, is a lost cause. But voters in a state like Texas, which claims to be conservative, should be irate. I know there is currently a move to repeal the Texas law that Perry continues to defend. Hopefully, this election will have prompted enough passion in those opposed to such insanity to finally demand that their elected officials cease wasting their taxpayer dollars on people who are not American citizens. We can only hope.

Thanks for the ping. Interesting. Will be looking forward to being at the Presidential Candidate Forum in Daytona Beach on November 6th. Sure to be a better format since it is a forum rather than a debate with a liberal moderator.

Because I can remember him debating McCain. And McCain did not exactly make Zero look stupid.
