Maybe this’ll give the “Flea Party” (not the Tea Party) reason to go protest in D.C. instead of Occupying Wall Street.

I’m completely confused. Am I supposed to go out and rape people or rob convenience stores now? Can I do both or is it an ‘either or thing’?

You do it at the same time...

Thats what "convenience store" means for those in Rio Vista.

I thought this didn’t come up until tomorrow?

Only in AP-land is a failure to invoke cloture equivalent to rejecting the bill.

Please tell me how more public sector employees help to spur the economy? Will any of them create a new business? Will any of them start a new business venture which will hire thousands of workers?

This idea that increasing sales at Hobby Lobby and Wal Mart will help the economy is a joke.

When will we be rid of this sock puppet?

Here in NJ we have had layoffs, including tenured teachers. A few years ago temporary funds were found to keep the Education Gravy Train going like business as usual (not just maintaining, but continuing to grow and give bigger increases than the private sector was receiving). Now those funds are gone, and so are a lot of the newest people hired (teachers, cops, firemen); they have no marketable job skills in the worst job marlet ever.

As everywhere else infested with illegal aliens already knows, they are not a viable tax base. Their underground economy is untaxed (and unsanitary).

“I believe the primary motivation is to get more union money in democratic campaign coffers.”

Absolutely, but also they have to give the impression that they can deliver to their constituents as well. Many former Detroit auto workers were disgusted with their unions because after spending so much on union dues they ended up on the street anyway; Dems can’t have that happen with teachers (although it is happening in NJ).

The 50-50 vote came in relation to a motion to simply take up the bill and fell well short of the 60 needed to break a filibuster. Democrats Ben Nelson of Nebraska, Mark Pryor of Arkansas and Independent Joe Lieberman of Connecticut broke with Obama on the vote.

Bipartisan OPPOSITION.

The money probably would go to ensure their pensions are paid and if any is left over to keep some dolts on the payroll so they don’t lose their union funds which flow back to the dems. Nice racket and has been working for years.

I see today, the POS’s energy department gave a 500M loan to a Finish company that makes electric cars. How many employees will that stimulate in the US? NONE. Oh, the company is well connected to an Ocrook bundler.

nail on head.

I know plenty of teachers who should not be anywhere near kids let alone teach them.

Yes there are some good teachers but lets face it, there are some who are just way out in space.

I've told people on here my husband is a firefighter. And he's told me that not once in his 15 years has any “save the firefighters” or “ save the police” bills ever done anything for his city’s department. He is against these programs as a big waste of money, and wonders where some of the money goes. A city a couple hundred miles away didn't ask for anything but was given some sort of equipment ( I can't remember what) that they neither asked for or needed, and were told not to return it, or they'd never get anything again if they did need it.

“...Joe Biden is looking forward to increasing the rape statistics ...”

And the IMMEDIATE answer when Biden made the rape statement SHOULD have been:

“Then make sure you and the rest of your Democrats PASS the National CCW Reciprocity Bill which is currently going through the House, and rapes and violent assaults will decrease.”

But of course, can’t have the peasants armed now, can we?

That Human Events reporter that was badgering him had a PERFECT opportunity to bring that forward - cameras rolling, micrphones on, etc., and...nothing.

The next time Biden spouts off his nonsense, or ANY Dimwitocrat, the National CCW Reciprocity bill should be brought up instantly.

I heard on local radio this morning (KYW1060 - Dem propaganda station) that the Philly DA Seth Williams was NOT happy about this bill, nor was Police Chief Thug Ramsey. So they’re getting nervous.

Which, of course, automatically means that it’s a GOOD thing for us...

We pay for our own trash and garbage collection around here. Taking my tax dollars to pay for someone else's trash in a different jurisdiction is UNJUST.

I say if they can't handle it themselves let it pile up around them.

Why NYS needs the bailout....

NYS put the freeze on hiring, then added 51,464 people

Check out the price tag while keeping in mind NYS is about to lose 2 House seats.

>>FIRE MORE TEACHERS!

They’ll just collect perpetual unemployment and go crap on police cars whilst they “occupy” Wall Street.

That’s the cool thing for unemployed edumacators to do these days — since having a Marxist protege of the Weatherman Underground in the White Hut has taken all the fun out of being a prooofessional “anti-war” protester.

"Under the Constitution it’s the states that control education."

As with federal unemployment compensation, it's the gift that keeps on giving.
