Steve Jobs went to Hero of Left to Bad Capialist
Huffpost | 09/20/2011 | Vanity

Posted on 10/21/2011 5:49:09 AM PDT by scooby321

Steve Jobs went from world greatest inventor. The right way to build a corporation to greedy, bashed for his words to Obama your going to be a one term President.

The left in a nano second have begun to trash Steve Jobs for telling the truth.

Some saying they will never buy another apple product.

This is how rotten our country has become, when we bash the newly dead who created millions of jobs worldwide. I don’t think we have much time left as a country, much less a superpower.

I never really understood why Steve Jobs was such a hero of the Left. He was an SOB towards his employees, he was tight-fisted with his money, never really gave to charity. Bill Gates tended to work side by side with his employees, gave millions upon millions to all sorts of charities, and from most accounts is a decent (if somewhat misdirected) person, and yet he is the evil capitalist.

Wow, I never thought I would be saying anything good about Bill Gates.

Capialist

What the heck is a Cap i alist? And why do you come out of the gate with a non sentence? My advice is if you are going to attack anyone that has made an extraordinary success of life and has employed millions, that you use spell check and find out how to write a sentence or forget about people reading your thoughts. Otherwise it looks as though a six-year-old broke into Mommy's or Daddy's FReeper account first thing in the morning while they were in the shower. Please for all of our sake learn to spell and to write before writing a vanity. No one is going to you or your ideas seriously otherwise.

You lost me at Cap i alist and complete made me ill with your first non sentence.

"The guy was a bit of an arrogant d*ck."

I've found that (generally speaking) many people who rise to the very top of their professions do so largely because of a deeply ingrained sense of self-confidence and self-assuredness. When they get there, they have trouble separating this from self-absorbtion. A few (mainly those with deeply seated Christian values) retain a humble sense of gratitude for their blessings and success, but many view their accomplishments solely as a product of self and from that point it's easy to view "lesser" persons with contempt.

Why even take time out of your morning to ask? The way I see it there has been a wreck on the side of the road of FreeRepublic threads—that has briefly caught your attention—and move on to a real thread with clear ideas expressed and spelled properly. Life is short. Let’s not waste a second on the functionally illiterate.

I’ve never understood why Jobs and Gates get a pass from the left, while Wall Street is pilloried.

Jobs and Gates got rich selling products that have parts made in Asia for pennies on the dollar.

Why do Big Hollywood and Big Sports get passes, too?

Why don’t the OWS people advocate limiting how much a movie or sports star makes like they want to limit what a Wall Street banker makes?

my language arts teaching wife would be proud.I believe that people--yes--can and should, with great flair and creativity, communicate their ideas. But such negligence of fundamental writing skills is insulting to your audience and demeaning to yourself.

Before attacking the successful of this world to a wide audience or any other time you post a FR vanity, have your lovely wife edit your work. Opposites truly do attract for a reason.

Apologies love. I thought you to be the OP with that comment :). I will take that post as the compliment it is meant to be. HAHA. Happy to be of service.

Hell I can really stink up a good sentence on occasion or more, but I don't write vanities. Maybe it is for this reason. I feel they are often just that VAIN. It is sort of like a really hot person or talented. They can hold my attention but if they are just unattractive on all levels and have no talent why bother others? Haha. So I just stick to the small time post--the un vain tyrant :)--the true FR rebel :-D.

“You lost me at Cap i alist and complete made me ill with your first non sentence.”

“When someone makes a mistake – whether it’s a spelling error or a spelling flame, a stupid question or an unnecessarily long answer – be kind about it. If it’s a minor error, you may not need to say anything. Even if you feel strongly about it, think twice before reacting. Having good manners yourself doesn’t give you license to correct everyone else. If you do decide to inform someone of a mistake, point it out politely, and preferably by private email rather than in public. Give people the benefit of the doubt; assume they just don’t know any better. And never be arrogant or self-righteous about it. Just as it’s a law of nature that spelling flames always contain spelling errors, notes pointing out Netiquette violations are often examples of poor Netiquette.”

I have no idea what this new fangled ripping on the newly passed Steve Jobs is all about. If there was some intelligence involved with clearly thoughtful analysis--maybe. Just maybe. But last night too their was some whack job who was attacking him for how he dealt with finding out he had pancreatic cancer. Attacking his decisions and behavior.

Really?--we all thought and expressed in our posts. Of course the OP on that thread attacked all the people--who said it was his business--with intense vitriol.

It is Steve Jobs job to make his own decisions about his healthcare. It was the most bizarre thing and now this bizarre slice of . . . God knows what . . . vanity to start the day. Makes one wonder what has happened to people.

No offense intended, but in the post I am replying to you used sentence fragments, are missing some punctuation, and wrote a completely incomprehensible sentence altogether.

As to the OP’s vanity, I am surmising that because posting directly from the HuffPo is not allowed on FR (for good reason), he chose to summarize the sentiments he saw expressed there. I’m sure he could have crafted his post better, but I wouldn’t beat him up for it, especially on matters of spelling and grammar.

Explaining away ignorance is never a good thing for the unskilled or lazy. Are you a union man or woman?

Listen. We all make grammar, spelling, and writing mistakes. But posting an unreadable and incomprehensible vanity post ripping apart a newly dead man who has achieve more success in one lifetime than ten lifetimes of many of us here--one better have a decent intelligent presentation or move on.

I am sure the closest union office would love to have your excuse ridden, co dependent writings. Lord know they exploit and thieve based on that reality. Or the nearest homeless shelter too can use such a spokesman.

No, I am not in a union, and not “explaining things away.” I have an MA in English, work as a professional writer, and yet I make mistakes too—so do you, as is quite evident in your posts in this thread. I am merely pointing out that it is unwise to cast stones while dwelling in a glass house of one’s own.

Additionally, I think you are completely misinterpreting the purpose of the OP’s post. As I understand it, he is commenting on the irony of the LEFT (not you or other FReepers), trashing a man they once idolized because they have just now discovered he held anti-Obama sentiments. I do not think he shares those sentiments himself.

"Is that Steve JOBA-THE-HUT? hahaha."

Seeing film clips of him this past year or two he was anything but JOBA-THE-HUT. More like Steve "the Walking Cadaver" Jobs. I saw a film clip of him last year presenting the Macbook Air laptop for the first time. I could tell at that time he was dead man walking. He did not look healthy at all.

I still don't understand a man like Steve Jobs politically. Jobs appeared to have ennunciated all of the concerns of businessmen and corporations to the socialist Obama, then offered to help him reshape his image to get re-elected? As smart as he was, it's like Jobs didn't get it. Obama hates free markets!!!

Unwise? A glass house of one's own? Really? Posting a vanity is a big deal. It is saying I am so self important and my ideas are so important I have to post it with all the other professionals.

I don't post vanities. I don't assume so much self importance that I would waste people's time. If I did, however, I would take the time to truly edit it for comprehension and use the spell checker.

if I ever post a vanity, I hope you stand there is judgement and comparison to this guy that posted a stinker and took off.

Otherwise you are comparing Apples and Kiwis. I dwell as a small time poster. That is where I live. OP is a vanity--huge thread of their own person. Let them live and die on the comprehension of their ideas. Me I'm just a worker bee.
