Gov. Brewer: Obama 'lectured me'

Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer skewers President Barack Obama in a new book, saying the president was “patronizing” and “condescending” when she met him at the White House last summer.

“We sat down and started with some chitchat,” she writes in her autobiography, according to the Arizona Republic. “But after a few minutes, the president’s tone got serious - and condescending.”

The Republican governor not only accuses Obama of having been “patronizing” during their Oval Office sit-down, but also says the president “lectured me,” the paper quotes Brewer as saying in “Scorpions for Breakfast: My Fight Against Special Interests, Liberal Media, and Cynical Politicos to Secure America’s Border.”

Brewer had at the time described her talk with Obama as cordial, the paper writes. A White House readout of their meeting in June 2010 described Obama’s talk with Brewer as “a good meeting” in which they discussed issues including border security and comprehensive immigration reform.

Lectured by a man whose only life experience before becoming President was having two autobiographies supposedly written by himelf (joke!) extolling his non accomplishments.

Perhaps if the Gov had been more accurate in her immediate characterization of the meeting...:

“It was waste of time to be lectured to by a man uninterested in listening, and incapable executing the responsiblities of the office.”

Is Jan Brewer a wallflower?

She should have gotten into Obama’s face and lectured HIM at the White House meeting, and then told the public exactly what she said and what he said.

He lectures the WORLD everytime he gets in front of a teleprompter. His nose is so high in the air he’d drown if it started raining.

After Baraq is defeated, I’m guessing he’ll run for President of Kenya. It’s not as good as POTUS, but probably a leg up on being a commentator on MSNBC.

I love when Bibi played it right back at Obama and lectured him like a Sunday School Deacon lectures an unruly child.

I'm sure that it was -- from the president's perspective. Obama has a glass jaw. If anybody ever lands a glove on him in a debate he'll flip out.

Is there anything anywhere in Obama's biography which indicates that he has encountered the buffeting which brings us all the gift of humility?

We cavalierly describe him as the Manchurian Candidate or the Manchurian Marxist and there is a grain of truth in the description of an individual who has been groomed to play a role. In a sense Obama is like The Last Emperor of China, coddled within a bubble and prepared by a series of communist mandarins until he reached the Oval Office. I could discern no point in his career when he had to perform on an equal level against his peers. He gained acceptance and promotion because of his race and because he was accepted into a leftist elitist cult. He needed only perform on a forensic level. He had only to give good speeches. This is more than affirmative action, although that certainly played a part.

When individuals such as Edward VIII or the last Emperor of China obtain power they do so as sociopaths without the absolutely indispensable quality of human feeling.

Thus the Manchurian candidate takes on a robot like quality, a worldview of a sociopath. Such an individual can be extremely dangerous.

Once again I grope for an explanation of Obama's connection to the Wall Street occupiers and what might be motivating Obama to associate himself with what on the surface appears to be a politically toxic demonstration. Are we getting close to it here?
