I think the satellite fell over China, but China isn’t saying a thing. It’s track took it over the more populated areas of China so the odds are that it hit something or somebody. I think the Chinese government will take whatever they can recover and back-engineer the pieces.

Latest ROSAT Update from German Aerospace Center (Oct. 22, 10:45 p.m. EDT):
"On Sunday, 23 October 2011, between 1:45 UTC (3:45 CEST) and 2:15 UTC (4:15 CEST) the german ROentgen SATellite ROSAT has re-entered Earth's atmosphere.
There is currently no confirmation if pieces of debris have reached Earth's surface."

It’s too bad that our current CIC killed the missile defense shield. I would think that these bigger sats falling to earth would make great target practice...lol. I wonder if the Chinese shot it down?
