Posted on 10/21/2011 2:03:51 PM PDT by Responsibility2nd
Col. Moammar Gadhafi, the dictator who ruled Libya for 42 years, was killed by rebels in his hometown of Sirte on Thursday. A dictator who oppressed his own people and sponsored terrorism abroad, Gadhafi's legacy will be stained by violence. But beyond his brutality, Gadhafi will be remembered for something else entirely being a first-class weirdo.
In no particular order, ABCNews.com brings you the seven weirdest things about Moammar Gadhafi.

He may have been ka-daffy. But he sure appreciated beautiful women.
So we helped take him out.
Sounds like abc/Disney is still pimpin’ Barack the Assassin’s big “victory” in Libya. If I hadn’t seen the video, I’d believe the part about Quadaffi being “killed” by the “rebels”. Unfortunately, was I saw was a murder being committed by a bunch of “peace sign”-flashing, two bit street punks. If I was one of “the rich” in America right now, I’d be a little concered and start worrying about all of this “beheading” rhetoric being spewed by the commie wannabes here. These commie bass turds are starting to get serious.
As far as I know, he didn’t have a blog.
At least he’s got that going for him.
I’ll give him a pass on this one. Nothing about her looks weird to me.
Oh HELL yes.
A little more bling, some animated pop-ups....
Lessons learned, opportunities lost...
We will learn the proper spelling of his name, once his tombstone is placed.
At a cost to US taxpayers of about $1 billion.
And to think, he endorsed O’Zero.
The oddest things about his costumes aren’t the robes... That’s pretty African stuff on the whole and after the MidEast dissed him he was going for “King of Africa.”
No - what always got me were the battle honors and medals.
What is that - the Strathcona Medal? And what’s that one - the Victoria Cross or something? As well as the Pour La Merite? And what the heck do all those bars mean? Some of his outfits had HUNDREDS of them! What - the Ice Cream Revolt at the Cul-de-Sac? The Tractor Press-Conference Melee? The Skirmish at Prickly Beaver? I always wondered if they had any meaning to him.
Well, I think the weirdest thing about Gaddahfi is that his mother was Jewish and his father was Italian. I read that somewhere in the last month.
That is her face, but it appears photoshopped onto that body. All the same, I have seen photos of her body, and her body does look that way.
I think they did this because they wanted a photo that showcased both her face and body well 2gether.
She’s totally amazing and they have interviewed her several times —I believe she escaped back to the Ukraine a couple days after the bombing began.
She disputes any notion that the nurses had any sexual relationship with him, although I doubt that.
Go back and review the video of him being hauled out of the truck (before he is killed). At one point his shirt comes up and he is wearing a bra.
How about The Seven Weirdest Things about Russell Goldman and NBC News?
Three of the primary reasons that the Muslim fanatics killed him was that he dressed women in uniforms, let them walk around without burkhas, and gave jobs to black Africans.
"Name of deceased?"
"No it's "Kha.."
"I thought it was Qa.."
"What do you think guys? Unmarked grave?"
This is so Peter Sellers / Mel Brooks / Mike Meyers / Woody Allen / Marx Brothers !!!!
TRUTH is TRULY STRANGER THAN FICTION !
and stranger than humble gunner who has become a caricature of his former self
The man lived a world of his own making. He was something out of a movie set.
“At one point his shirt comes up and he is wearing a bra.”
He had Moammar Moobs? Who knew?
weird. I have a fear of flying in elevators with women named
no way!! even more bizarre.
Here’s a man who had the audacity to say
“This is the ‘Line of Death’. You cross it, you die.”
“Okay, you cross this line, you die.”
“Okay, you cross this line, you die.”
“This line, you die.”
“Okay, you’re knocking on my door, I’m not coming out. Naaaaah”
If Gaderffii was the autocratic ruler of Libya, then why didn’t he promote himself past Colonel?
He somewhat reminds me of Michael Jackson.
So true! Whoever does the film is going to have to really keep it from naturally going comedic.
I don’t see anything weird about leopard-skin robes and pillbox hats over chartreuse trousers. Sort of a nice, comfortable working outfit, actually. If you work at Barnum & Bailey, that is.
I have no problem with his taste in nurses.
“If Gaderffii was the autocratic ruler of Libya, then why didnt he promote himself past Colonel?”
With all the medals and such he didn’t want to appear to be too ostentatious. (sarc)
I think they plan on burying him at see to save the expense of a tomb.
He was a very visual man on many levels including his medals and outfits. The women part is obvious. He was a lover of the feminine and sex. I don’t fault him for that. If I could I would create of world of my own fantasy as he did but with dudes. haha. I do however fault him for all those innocent lives lost. Go figure.
The OWS is the best thing that will happen to the Republicans this election cycle. The louder they get, the more independents will hear and say "WTF? Is this the Democrats?"
If they go all crazy and start rioting and killing, the excuse then exists to "resettle" all the Dims "to the East" ala as a Final Solution to the Socialist Problem. The application of Uragan D2 as a disinfecting and delousing agent is recommended.
I never understood how he spent all those years as a colonel and never got promoted to general, especially since he was in charge of promotions!
He just made more lower ranks so no one could have a higher rank than Col.
Sadly, I noticed she has proper trigger control.
Well, I'm not very fond of either myself. But I'm not a dictator.
All dictators have their oddities - Emelda Marco's shoes, Hitler was a vegetarian.
I liked the line in a German paper that called him a “paranoid Bird of Paradise.”
I don’t know if I’d wear that shade of blush with the peacock feathers. Too gaudy.
haha. how fitting!
Per my comment from another thread:
Q: What was the last thought in Qaddafi’s head before they shot him?
A: I should have endorsed McCain.
Interesting article. Reminds me of what CS Lewis wrote about the everlasting sameness of tyrants and dictators, as opposed to those who lead simple, moral, and upright lives -
“Sameness is to be found most among the most “natural” men, not among those who surrender to Christ. How monotonously alike all the great tyrants and conquerors have been: how gloriously different are the saints.”
Lenin, Stalin, Hitler, Pol Pot, Saddam Hussein, Kim Jong, and Gaddafi... all cut from the same cloth, all with the same greeds and lusts and terrors, paranoias and sociopathologies.
3. His “Voluptuous” Ukrainian Nurse “
Can anyone explain why either of those things are “weird”?
I have to admit that “Bunga Bunga” sounds interesting too.
