Tea Party Nation poll shows 52 percent will vote for Romney if he is GOP nominee (Look out Pubs!)

Most self-affiliated members of Tea Party Nation, one of the largest national organizations for the grassroots conservative movement, would vote for Mitt Romney as president if confronted with a choice between him or President Obama, according to a poll of members released to The Hill on Friday.

The group surveyed its members this week in an informal poll posted at the group’s website. The question asked was: If Romney is the GOP nominee, what will you do in the general election?

Fifty-two percent of about 1,150 respondents said they would “hold their nose” and vote for Romney if he becomes the GOP nominee, while 23 percent said they would vote for an unspecified third-party candidate. Twelve percent said they would not vote in the presidential election at all if the choice is between Romney and Obama.

The "LAME Stream Media" keeps selling horse hockey, but the base ain't buyin'!!!
There's no way in hell I can compromise my values.

Jack Kerwick wrote an article on May 24, 2011 titled The Tea Partier versus The Republican and he expressed some important issues that I agree with.

I'm fresh out of "patience", and I'm not in the mood for "compromise".
"COMPROMISE" to me is a dirty word.
Let the RINO's compromise their values, with the conservatives, for a change.

The "Establishment Republicans" can go to hell!

As a conservative I will consider it best to just stay home if Romney is the candidate of any party.

If you would vote for Rommney, why not just vote for obama? Other than their skin color and religious preferences, as the comparison chart Jim Robinson posted, their political philosophies are the same. I am in the group that will not vote ror Rommney under any circumstances. If you, the Republican Party, or the man in the moon want for obama to have a second term, with all that implies, nominate Mitt Rommney.

If Mitt is the nominee, I will vote for him.

On abortion, he said that he was wrong in the past. I can accept a man admitting that he was wrong.

On his healthcare bill in Mass, he had no choice. It was all the work of the liberals in the state legislature. He vetoed a lot of what was sent to him but he basically had no choice because he was in the most liberal state in the union.

I didn’t think much of Mitt before but I’ve talked to conservatives in Mass so I now have a better understanding of his history. I am okay with him now. Mitt was about as conservative as you could be in a state like Mass. ROMNEY IS STILL NOT MY TOP CHOICE BUT I’LL SUPPORT HIM 100% IF HE’S THE REPUBLICAN NOMINEE.

If the “Tea Party Nation” doesn’t support Romney if he’s the nominee, they can all kiss my #$#^. The “Tea Party Express” had a similar attitude and got us 6 more years of Harry Reid. They cost us Delaware’s senate seat. I can name a few others but I am not going to waste my time.

Instead of pouting about not getting 100% of what I want, I’d rather get 75% than 0 (0=obama). I am going to support this nation by voting against obama.

the election will not only be decided by the tea party, it will also depend on how many independents flee Obama

I have thought about this and have concluded that I would vote for Romney if he is the nominee.

OTOH, I would vote for Mishka "The I Love You" Dog if she were the nominee, as well.

In fact, if Mishka "The I Love You" Dog came down with rabies and bit me on my weenie, I would still vote for Mishka "The I Love You" Dog if she were the nominee.

0 must go.

But let's see if we can keep Romney from being the nominee.

Who is the lesser of two evils?

The one who didn't start a world war and murder six million innocent people?

. . in an informal online poll . . .

I am a member of our local Tea Party Patriots and we never received any notice about this unscientific poll. I am at a loss to figure out what I would do, but the best overall alternative is to vote in a conservative Senate and House with the numbers to make them veto proof in addition to having the numbers to start their own under oath investigations made public.

They, the establishment, think that 2010 was historic? The internals for 2012 must be incredible for the cause of We The People. How does one account for all of the continuing Permanent Political Class establishment critters who are announcing they will not run again this time in addition to the rising number of primary challengers?

I guess if it comes to obama vs. romney, you don’t really have much of a choice. If you vote for romney, all you will get is obama’s alter ego. Two sides to the same coin they are. If you’re really unlucky, obama gets re-elected, and makes romney his VP, or vise-versa.

Let it burn and write the whole thing off. Eff em!

I consider myself a member of “Tea Party Nation” as I’ve donated to candidates and attended rallies and will somewhat happily pull the lever for Romney if he’s the nominee. Wile he’s my second to last choice amongst the republicans, he is lightyears preferable to O. I don’t believe though, that Romney’s nomination is a fait accompli. New Hampshire is only one state and he’s got to succeed in the South.

Oh yeah ... NOW I remember, a vote was taken and tin cans passed around amidst the drums drumming and speakers bloviating and "the tea party" hired a spokesfirm to handle it's PR.

I don't really need the /s, DO I ?

Sounds as if whoever is behind this poll is a Romney shill.

This principled and informed conservative will never vote for Romney, nor any other RINO.

The better to live with my own conscience.

The Republican candidate will have to take The South. There is NO WAY Mitt will poll high in The South. Herman Cain would sweep The South, since we still have enough sense to know a conservative from a liberal.
