Glenn Beck is extremely upset with how he is being treated by former colleagues at Fox News because of comments he made about Occupy Wall Street. Beck appeared on his old friend Bill O'Reilly's program last week (view clip) and expounded upon his theory that the protests are not an organic uprising of disenchanted Americans, but a global movement with Marxist roots led by several revolutionary groups like the Service Employees Union and Working Families. These revolutionary groups are funded by George Soros and the whole thing is being orchestrated by America's most famous community organiser, President Barack Obama. O'Reilly gave Beck's theory the benefit of the doubt, but Fox News ace reporter Geraldo Rivera, was less kind, saying Beck's words were "harsh at best, paranoid or delusional at worst". Beck did not take kindly to Geraldo's insulting dismissal of his theory and accused him, in turn, of being a sheep.
For anyone who's thinking about Occupy Wall Street and saying, "you know, they made a good point," we're going to do a little critical thinking today and one of them is this. When the lion lays down with the lamb, that's when Jesus comes. In the meantime, the lion eats the lamb. Another name for lamb? Sheep! Stop being sheep, America! Otherwise, he will eat you!
Beck is neither sheep nor lamb, and he does not intend to let anyone accuse him of spouting unsubstantiated nonsense that he hopes his gullible audience will accept as fact. Beck had hard evidence to back up his theory: a copy of The Coming Insurrection, a book written by the Invisible Committee, the collective pen-name for a small group of French intellectuals and academics, and a copy of the second edition of the publication du jour, the Occupied Wall Street Journal (pdf).

Why they had to taint the 100% accuracy on Becks part by mentioning (wrong every damn time he opens his trap) Jerry Rivers is beyond me however.
Good ol’ commie Guardian. I saw beck on O’reilly, and Geronimo trashing Beck when he wasn’t there to defend himself. I also saw Geronimo (dragging along his unemployable brother) go down to the mob and try to buddy-buddy with them. They chased him away even as he kissed their unwashed asses. He naturally blamed Fox. I have always despised geronimo since his tabloid days in Al Capone’s “vault”, but why Fox continues to employ such a tool is beyond me. Maybe they believe in keeping their enemies close, as they do with Alan “Cryptkeeper” Colmes.
When FOX swerved to the left, they REALLY swerved to the left. The talk radio station that I normally listen to picked up FOX Radio News a number of years ago. Now, I wish they would go back to abc Radio News. FOX Radio News has become an “on the hour” Obama worship service. What a joke.
FOX doesn’t have to like it. He’s absolutely correct.
Funny thing is that one of his guests pointed directly at the problem with FOX on one of the final shows when he said that the only arab voices allowed on FOX were the voices of the muslim brotherhood.
Speaking of Shep...what's wrong with him? He looks ill. We don't watch his show, but I was surfing channels the other day and he was onscreen when I went past Fox. I hadn't seen him in quite a few months. How long has he been looking gaunt and ill.

Nobody is outraged or infuriated. People do what they do. Rivera does what Rivera always does. Beck does what Beck always does. Same for Shepard Smith, Bill O'Reilly and the rest.
FoxNews’ leftward tilt this whole past year was already alienating me, but the final straw was when they let that vile Liz Trotta cheerfully repeat the McGinnis smears against Palin as though they were unvarnished facts, about four weeks ago.
I used to have FoxNews on all the time, as a practical default channel. But after that repugnant incident, I’ve barely watched more than a few snippets, adding up to less than an hour this entire past month. I absolutely loathe CNN with a passion, but I’ve started watching them more, just for a few needed headlines. Just because I’m so intensely disgusted with FoxNews.
I’ve noticed various celebrities getting very thin. I think it’s a fad - separating themselves from the fat America they all hate.
If what you report is true, that's a quite over the top, and easily disproven false "just-do" statement which only a REAL loony-tune would make.

BECK HAS BEEN RIGHT AND CONTINUES TO BE RIGHT. Most will not entertain the bigger picture for fear of being called a conspiracy theorist and a story teller. These people who are orchestrating this are diabolical. I believe the occupy movement is in its infancy stage and will kick it up a knotch when all the occupy’s in all the major cities are connected. The professionals will be instructed to confront lawenforcement start the fire which will spread to all.

He's part of their being "fair and balanced". They also employ Allan Colmes, Bob Beckel, and quite a few other liberals.
But who knows why they think they must be "fair and balanced"?
I assumed that they “swerved to the left” because the Obama administration was about to throw the full weight of the federal government against them and the Murdochs. It would include a full on PR campaign using their MSM lap dogs, multiple investigations from every department in gov’t to the point that the Murdoch’s would be driven out of FOX and all the media outlets they own. The “swerve to the left” is a survival tactic.

Actually his view of what is really happening with the OWS Movement is exactly right. The SEIU/Working Families/Obama fingerprints are all over OWS and you don't really have to be a genius to figure that out. You just have to do a little digging, a task where Beck and his staff excel

I used to like Liz Trotta, until she started her trashing of Sarah Palin. Seems as if she's a bitter old woman whose day has passed, and is jealous of Sarah's youth and beauty. Unfortunately, some older women are like that.
Geez! Go to communist party usa (www.cpusa.org) to see them proudly proclaim, “We are the 99%” and the international solidarity and union support they enjoy. They have no problem admitting to the planning. Grass roots my a$$.

I agree with you 100%. It’s all about survival. That “phone hacking” BS that came out all over the “media” had nothing to do with “phone hacking”. That was all about bringing down Murdoch and FOX.

I rememeber good ol Rivera from the 60s when he covered the Vietnam war and every victory was a defeat. He was a communist then and he still is. If they ever get around to hanging Jane Fonda for treason he should be dangling right beside her. No use for the SOB, Bob Beckel or Juan Williams the snivilling little Obama butt boy.

Yeah, I never had anything remotely against Trotta either, but the moment Palin hit the scene, Trotta was just jaw-droppingly hateful towards her (sneeringly referring to baby Trig Palin as an “it” being the previous low-point). It was just way, way beyond the pale. Much worse, amazingly enough, than anything you’d even hear from the libs on CNN and MSNBC. Convinced me that Trotta possesses a truly rotted, evil soul.
Pretty much the same for me especially since they dtarted “the five”.
I don't see how events like these can not be viewed as anything but a part of the leftist effort to rule the world.

It's the same quality of reporting as when Margaret Thatcher couldn't be bothered to see Sarah Palin. That didn't pass the smell test, either, but it sure got people here riled for a few days.

Like a previous poster, I haven't watched Fox since Beck left.
And, you might have added, an area where BOR fails miserably. The reason for that, IMHO, is that O'Reilly believes he is SO SMART that he really doesn't have to check for facts and things like that. Just the power of his brain is all he needs.
Which is why O'Reilly is so wrong so often. In the case of OWS it is obvious that he done zero homework and still believes that this is some sort of spontaneous happening. What a fool.
Another point. I cannot explain why Beck, a pretty darn smart guy, would get upset by anything that Geraldo might say about him. Surely he has Geraldo calibrated by now. In any case his views align with the majority of Fox News reports about 1% of the time. Why they keep him around I have no idea.

When Gerald Michael Riviera comes on FOX my TV always switches to another channel. Maybe I should call George Noory’s Coast to Coast Radio Wacko Show.

Only two are slightly to the right of center: McNeill-Lehrer at about a "54" (with 50 being center) and "Good Morning America" at a 52.
FOX rated a 46. Most of the others---the nightly news shows---were in the low 30s/high 20s and some of the MSNBC stuff was in the single digits, if I recall.
Yet Americans as a whole were around 56, meaning NO news source was on a par with their views, that ALL were to the left (including FOX) and the most interesting finding Groseclose had was that the media's effects slanted the public's rating even further left and that with a true "fair and balanced" media at about 50, the public would rate in the mid- to high 60s (i.e., toward conservatism.)
Seems to me that several apologies are owed to Geronimo. KWIM?
And if Soros is pumping $$ into it, which he is, how can anyone doubt what’s going on? Geraldo continues to show his stupidity.

You got the gist of the article as well. Of course, it's The Guardian, so we can't expect anything like objective commentary from the likes of these people. I always read the comments from the ignorati in the comments section who chime in with the writer to laugh at the inane comments. Oh well, American lefties don't get American conservatism so I shouldn't expect Brit lefties to get it either.
Geraldo sup[ports OWS, so you have to expect this kind of nastiness from him. Remember when the pretty much threatened Michelle Malkin because she disagreed with him on illegal immigration? Geraldo is a hateful, vitriolic, anti-American racist. Remember, he was part of the Young Lords. That tells you everything you need to know about him.
Fox ought to fire him. He’s a bad journalist and he’s bad for the network’s image.
