So who is your candidate or are you above all that?
Pray for America
What, no one but Rodguy wants to comment on my Hillary! collage?
&&&&&
Maybe even the collage was too much of a good thing?
We all have mental images that we can’t erase - no need for reminders?
Good catch Sal. Seems Hillary is all hell bent on proving that 90% claim of guns in Mexico are from here. Evidently she will do anything to get there hook or crook as long as she is not implicated.
Ditto. TV is off most of the time now. And rarely on Fox News Channel.
She is in Uzbekistan. I am sure all the networks set up times for her interview one after another.
The guy leading in the polls is running for VP? Do you whinerbots ever stop to think how utterly ignorant it is to be posting that emotion based opinion with utterly no facts to back it up?
Here is an idea for the whinerbots. Instead of racing around whining childishly about everyone and everything, why don't you all try making a rational, fact based, argument for what you believe in for a change?
Find it odd the whinerbots and the Romneybots practice the same campaign tactics. They never ever try to build up anything, they just spend all their time trying to tear down everyone other then Romney.
You mean that same Fox panel that said the Dems would hold the House and Hilary would be the next President at this point in the last two elections? Juan was the only one that got it right.
I really have no hope for the middle east. Because of their culture and religion, they will always be primitive societies, prone to abuse of women and to violence.
It will be centuries before they become civilized if ever. What I really want is for us to use our own untapped resources, get rid of the EPA and liberals who won’t let us do so.
I believe that we could, in a very few years, have our own sources of energy and then they could sell their sand, maybe to Florida where some beaches have eroded a little.
I really don’t want our troops over there at all. Or any embassies we have to protect. I think we should keep a large and efficient eye on them via spies and survelience and be sure they aren’t making weapons.
If they are, I think we should bomb stragetically, warn the citizens that we will do so and then do it.
Maybe I’m not sophisticated enough to understand foreign policy ... probably I’m not, but that’s what I think.
The MSM is desperately afraid of Herman Cain. They will do damn near anything to put him down.
Actually, speaking as a guy, I thought she looked like the before shot in some hair/cosmetic commercial.
Glenn Beck’s ousting is what did it for me. Also, I’e had my fill of John McLame getting airtime on a regular basis.
I forgot talk radio in my mini rant. Rush and Mark Levin also do news on their programs and I come away more informed after listening to them than I do watching FOX.
By the way, I have Chris Matthews on right now. I think he’s drunk again.
We have allies? Really? Who would be that stupid?
If you ask me, Cain got started without thinking that he would actually become a 1st tier candidate. That is why he (up to this time) didn’t bother much about fund-raising.
It has now dawned on him that he can actually win this thing. The question is whether he can garner enough financial support to pull off capturing the nomination.
We all decry money in politics, but it requires money to pay for basic stuff, like TV ads, phones, bumper stickers, etc. Even if you have an army of people willing to put out yard signs and hand out bumper stickers, someone has to buy them to begin with. TV ads are not cheap, and if you don’t run them, then the MSM starts saying your campaign is “faltering and running out of money.”
So we will see what happens. I like Cain a lot, but he has caught the tiger’s tail and is now figuring out how to get on board and ride.
“But it pays to watch them simply because most of America does and most of America will decide who rules...............”
Most Americans no longer watch network news. They’re no longer trusted. FOX may have been the most trusted news network, but they’ve slipped.
Excellent post this morning. Well thought out and has points I doubt even Freepers realized were there. Thanks.
Morning AB, All....
This morning I got up, let the dog out to pee and poop. Gave her her medicine as she has a really nasty bladder infection, I still sob from this story. Went to mass, sang in the choir, came home, changed clothes, emptied litter pans, made pot of iced tea, prepped for oven items, minded the slow-cooked stuffed peppers.
Anyway, as always, thank you AB for doing this thread. I find comfort in the fact that I will come home and the thread awaits, populated by wise reviews and opinions.
Watched Hillary, who evidently got the word to go on MTP and PRAISE, PRAISE she was told, Obama for his foreign policy....dammit she is the Sec of State and this is her job.
Now watching Ron Paul, like his economic policy but he’s just weird about some things.
Greetings all and dog, in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Ghost....awful bladder infection only we didn’t know.
I’ll get her better but it’s been awful. She’d been peeing pure blood.
Thought you said everybody was running for Romney’s VP, so you will be voting for Romney. Guess that makes you a Robot?
Well, Hillary is trying which she never used to do at all.
Remember when she would appear on television without, apparently, combing her hair.
But the style is just not right for her. It’s too long.
The most surprising thing was seeing Anthony Weiner as a panelist on Meet The Press.
Really is there much light between Weiner and say David Brooks or John Gregory? So I guess it fits having him on, but man I must admit I was still surprised seeing him on the program.
she looked like the before shot in some hair/cosmetic commercial.
****
Absolutely! You are so right!!!!!LOL! Thanks for the laugh!
As a matter of fact, yes it’s frozen up in the tundra. Denver remains only a mile high so it’s not that cold here... Yet.
We can only hope more on 0zero comes out, day after day after day.
Are you suggesting Obamaland is more Tea Party conservative than SC?
;)
I won’t be talking politics this morning ... at least not as it pertains to the Republican primary.
I need to let my wounds heal a little.
Once again, as happens so often, you got it right again MM.
I think Cain’s as surprised at his metoric rise as the MSM.
And it don’t look like it’s dropping.
Hey, I’d love to see the guy run....let me get me thoughts together and I’ve got solid reasons. If nothing else, Cain’s popularity has got to be giving the Blue Blood Republican elite hemmhoroids, ya think?
It shouldn’t shock us to see Weiner on.
Really, I don’t know what a democrat would have to do to be shunned by the press or his party.
I’m trying to think of something, but not getting there.
Bachmann is schooling Schieffer on foreign policy. She gives better answers than ‘experienced’ Hillary.
Maybe it’s a woman thing but Hillary desperately needs someone to mind her appearance.
It’s scattershot with her. Her hairstyle is totally not becoming, she sometimes does, sometimes does not, apply makeup, rarely in any flattering fashion.
Her clothes are ill-chosen.
She could be a very presentable woman with some close attention. Frankly I think she dresses and grooms herself and she’s awful at it.
New energy sources will “change” the equation in the mid- East, lets hope sooner rather that later.
Oh the Blue Bloods are in full combat mode here in the Oregon Special Election. You wouldn’t believe the war they are having with the Tea Party.
The Country Club candidate is going to win the Primary and they are trying to distance him as far from the TP as they can. Hope it works?????
Pray for America
Cain may have wisely refused invitations to be on today’s shows, since he can’t afford many more walk-backs of “misspeaks”. I’d like to see the conservative field winnowed down asap, because Romney is benefitting greatly from the “clutter”. I like Santorum and Bachmann, but I don’t think either can win the nomination or beat Obama if they did.
I think Chris Wallace thought he could embarrass her. She covered realities about Libya the MSM has not
I sincerely hope you are right. But either way I watch to see what the enemy is up to.
I read somewhere a long time ago that Hillary did have aides who tried to get her to improve her appearance. She’s not that much overweight, but she refused to diet at all so she would look better in her clothes.
Apparently no one dares to make suggestions to her now.
Tell ya what buddy there is so much news out there you gotta wonder what will come up next.
You know why people like Cain?
Because he is funny, engaging, easy to understand, and talks like a normal person. No political-ese.
I always remember our friend Common Tator’s maxim: THE MOST LIKABLE CANDIDATE WINS.
Based on that, in order of likability we have Cain, Perry, Newt (based on debate performance only), Romney, Santorum and Bachman.
This has nothing to do with who is smartest, most conservative, etc. Purely on television appearance likability.
Obama won because the GOP managed to find the ONE candidate who was less appealing than Obama. Bush beat Gore based on the likability quotient. Bush beat Kerry for the same reason.
If Cain can get enough money, he will win based on this. He also will not get to debate with Obama until very late, one debate, much like Carter and Reagan. (There is no law requiring Obama to debate at all.)
This is how I see the race right now. Things can change, or course. I also think Perry could pull this out, and we might end up with a Perry/Cain ticket.
I liked Cain at first but the more I hear him talk about details of his plans, the less I like him.
Yes, that's my take on it too. 0bama cannot brag about his economic success so foreign success will be a major arrow in his dwindling quiver.
That is, IF we let him get away with it. 0bamas so-called foreign policy success is a mirage in that all he did was to follow what was already working. I'll give him credit for increasing our use of predator drones but I'd want that verified before saying it.
Appaling is what the media/press has done, trying to spin 0bama's record and failing to complain when 0bama acts WITHOUT congressional approval.
Probably not as much as the 0bama Brotherhood will get.
What a boring line-up. Depressing.
Yes, but most people don’t bother with details (the secret to democrat success).
My judgment is based on TV appearances, not on details.
He may be spot on with some of his positions, but the delivery is sorely lacking. There were a few responses, particularly in discussing the Perry/Romney exchange, where I fully expected Paul to begin laughing maniacally. My position on him stands at a solid “no thanks.”
That would be a decent ticket... Perry/Cain. We’d have a good president and Cain could learn something about government.
However, Cain has stated that he would not be Perry’s veep.
