Herewith are four common denominators of a Wall Street occupier.
Habit One: Hate America. Unlike the patriotic Tea Party movement where Old Glory flies proudly and participants sing patriotic songs with vigor and recite the Pledge of Allegiance with thunderous respect, the exact opposite goes on at the OWS Teat Parties.
They hate America. You wont see them pledging allegiance to this country. If you dont believe me, google Occupy Wall Street and check out the images and videos this cabal has spawned and tell me these winners love this land. Im waiting
Habit Two: Hate Jesus Christ & Moses. Even though some moronic Christians have been cheerleading at the OWS free candy rallies, they obviously dont dig Jesus, Joseph or Mary.
How do I know? Well, theyre into stealing (redistribution of wealth); sloth (who has that much time to waste?); and envy (they want what others enjoyand if they cant have it, nobody should. The enviers motto is: if not I, then no one.).
In addition, theyre cool with destroying private property and wrecking the local environment (I thought these greenies loved mother earth?). Another hand tip that these lovelies no likey God is the virulent anti-Semitic cursing of the greedy Jews for all the slackers financial woes. And a big chunk of them, by their own admission, are cool with violence if thats what it takes to get economic justice. Yep, for one to be a good OWS rebel one must dispense with Jesus & Moses because they condemn the aforementioned behaviors.
Habit Three: Hate Responsibility. Another thing for certain about the Occupy Wall Street crowd is that they love to blame others and shirk responsibility for why their lives suck more than a Toro Gas Vac with its powerful 25.4cc 2-cycle commercial-grade engine (shes a doozy, aint she?!).
Blameshifting, according to success expert Stephen Covey, is a key habit to being a hobbled and broke Occupy Occupuss. The other day I saw a trust fund baby Columbia grad at an OWS rally blathering about how Wall Street was oppressing him, and Im sitting there thinking, Yeah, sure. Its Wall Streets fault you cant find gainful employment. It has nothing to do with your giant pot leaf forehead tattoo, your lug bolt tongue piercing, or the fact that only a sweaty skunks butt eclipses the stench your dreadlocks emit. Its the man and the machines fault!
Habit Four: Hate Independence. A further obvious common denominator of the Flea Party is that is appears as if these smelly cats are addicted to the mediocre and manipulative milk which slowly drips from the feds bankrupt, wilted tit. Yep, via the public school system these dependents have come to expect/demand that the governments job is to give them a jobor just screw the job and give em money.
I read this one whiners whimperings on a pro-OWS blog that stated that they just want the government to give them a fair chance at the American dream. A fair chance, little flower? Yes, you know as in free college, free health care and free scented oil massage. Well hello, Lewis and frickin Clark!
Hey, sweetie, you already have a fair chance at the American dream. You are here. Now if you would cease and desist your pathetic, weed-inspired diatribe and dig deep within your bong resin-crusted psyche for an idea for goods or services that meet the consumers wants or needs then you, too, will have a purty good shot at living the dream. That is, of course, until the federal government gets wind of your success and begins to regulate it more than Michelle does Barack when Shakira visits the White House.
Final warning: If you ever deviate from these habits, OWS protestor, and start appreciating this great nation, start following Jesus and Mos lead by taking responsibility for your own well-being and become a mean, lean, independent human being, it will cost you your broke OWS companions.
Too bad we cannot afford to place this as a full page ad in the USA Today this next week. It says it all.
Yeah, sure.
I would like a group to enter one of these encampments & loudly REMOVE each & every item that was made by or supplied by a CORPORATIOM.
Leaving these miserable fools naked & with no shelter would make me smile.
Someone tried to tell me how bad big bisiness is, I asked them: “Do you ever go to a major grocery store to buy your items?”
Of Course...they said.
What do you think that store would look like without the companies that supply all the items sold there? I said.
After much discussion, I finally told this nimrod that he was all wrong—it would be just an acre of dirt. Not even the store would exist because it was built with items produced / supplied by corporations.
Even with all that, I could not dent into this guy’s thinking.
Totally lost in his own skull.
Kruschev was right: We will be destroyed from within with our own taste for drugs.
Ah. Just as I suspected. Personal hygiene is not one of them.
Is there any way we can tie a bunch of tug boats to that strip of New York and tow it out to sea?
“I would like a group to enter one of these encampments & loudly REMOVE each & every item that was made by or supplied by a CORPORATIOM.”
then you won’t be removing much because I can’t even define what a CORPORATIOM is. sounds like a shape from geometry class or something.
:)
There are probably a half dozen federal, state and local departments that have regulations and requirements for permits that would make that impossible. Nice thought though. Now if you would promise to build a "Green" tugboat in say, Finland, maybe you would get a waiver and cash from Obama's stash.
...like the guy tweeting from his iphone the awfulness of corporations.
Good argument. I had a similar "debate" in just building that structure and there was protestors B***hing about a new Safeway and not enough local contractors and imported good and materials. Oh I let him have both barrels first saying I was an old structural engineer that designed and built homes.( amongst other jobs throughout my life).
Even for a basic home I told him you need to use tools, maybe from Stanley, sometimes Makita,or a Craftsman saw sometimes a sidewinder or maybe a master carpenter likes the Japanese saws for the finish work.
So there's trade right as you build but wait, BEFORE even building there's schooling, years of it, concepts and ideas tossed between client and builder and said client( could be a corporation like Safeway that banks on PROFITS just to build a new store), and in the old days you bought pencils, erasers, a ton of drawing tools from all over and steel and plastic is used from odd corporations when going to a drafting store. Now days it's all done on software with AutoCad, INVENTOR, REVIT, and the computer itself has thousands of circuitry built in China, Malaysia and the raw materials may come from still other countries!
I continued with this guy seeing he was "stupifyed " because I rambled on like a train and he was the wreck. Oh but for a basic home there's also felling the wood from a forest and milling and shipping costs sometimes over state lines, and cement and lime and gravels and all that's required to have a perfect catalyst for your foundation and a smarty pants person who knows just the amount on a hot day for that concrete to set and oh and the iron bards, the rebar the nails and screws all the tac and hardware, and Kaiser aluminum for windows and sheet rock.
This was about then he called me a ****ing conservative right wing blankity blank capitalist gave me the finger and walked away to do what? Smoked a joint in his polyester 50% cotton T shirt, his Che zig zags, and dope illegally grown with his leather sandals and Levi Jeans. Can I call these people hypocrites to their own lives? Even if building a Co Op or a commune was done with the most archaic of tools, say working with mennonites or Amish who know how to do it but they still can be seen at grocery stores and hardware stores.
Capitalism is a huge conglomerate of basic materials, contracts wants and needs and profitability to continue, and all this has to work very smoothly from concept, to planning, to growth/biuilding to finished product then sustaining the finished product over a period of time, well I am preaching now to the choir, but I do wonder where these useless idiots went to school. Some unicorn and rainbow love factory of envisioning peace college? Few can see the concept of America, or just basic capitalism, basic trade system and never using their brain to consider it took a BUNDLE of corporations and factories just to build the nails and glue that hold their pants over their buttcrack or has built the porta potties and toilet paper so they can poop without lying in their own crap in these stupid protests.
I'd rather debate a rock, okay maybe a cat. At least the response from the former doesn't give me verbiage and the Pavlovian kitiecat can't give me finger.
Just for fun, I decided to drop by the Occupy Wall St website. Wow.
I was expecting complete raving lunacy, on par with your average DU thread. While the mouth-foaming lunacy reigns there in full force, what’s interesting is that there is also a sizable minority of comparatively intelligent folks among them. It was very confusing to see articulate, semi-rational postings among the moonbattery. I’ve had a few semi-rational exchanges after opening fire on them, and simply shake my head at the wasted brainpower on display. If they had been educated to think for themselves, and not indoctrinated to repeat what they’re told, they’d be very different people.
Therein lies the problem in dealing with the OWS movement. Moonbats are angry, rabid jerks, and easy to dismiss. Try to argue with them and they’ll either insult you or retreat. They have no point. They have only rage. It’s fun to clown on them, it’s easy, but not really worth the time.
But how do you argue with smart, well intentioned and totally misguided people that switch between reason and fantasy as fast as you can blink? I’ve only known a handful of liberals like that in real life, but they seem to be magnetically drawn to OWS. They also seem to be totally unaware that they are surrounded by mindless zombie drones. Like somehow they’re on the same wavelength and can tune into their crazy without thinking it crazy.
Furthermore, the OWS website is a transparent joke. Any references to the group being funded and controlled by Adbusters, Soros, Open Society, etc, are deleted fast. They pride themselves on having no specific points and no leaders. Their internal divisions are deep and real, but being hypnotized away by the glare of positive media coverage that gets them to play nice with each other. The whole movement is some kind of sleight-of-hand publicity stunt, where even the participants don’t know where they’re supposed to look next, but are enjoying the show.
It’s like the Bermuda Triangle of passionately held stupid ideas. They get sucked in and wind up lost, shipwrecked together in an intellectual vacuum. I can’t say that I recommend checking it out, but it was very illuminating.
Tattoos, piercings, spiked hair and tattered clothing gets you a real job at “Whole Foods” or “Trader Joes” and that’s about it.
Lunatic fringe
We know you're out there
You're in hiding
And you hold your meetings
We can hear you coming
We know what you're after
We're wise to you this time
We won't let you kill the laughter
Lunatic fringe
In the twilight's last gleaming
This is open season
But you won't get too far
Because you gotta blame someone
For all your confusion
We're on guard this time
Against your final solution
(cool slide guitar solo)
We can smell you coming
No! You're not gonna win this time (not gonna win)
We can hear your footsteps
Out along the walkway
We can hear your footsteps
Out along the walkway
Lunatic fringe
Can you feel the resistance?
Can you feel the thunder!?
There are also half a dozen federal, state and local departments with the authority to kick those clowns out of Zucotti park but magically nothing is happening.
I can’t begin to imagine the effect this is having with the voters.
Not just on the national level but on the local even more. Can’t you just imagine the electoral massacre that is going to occur in NYC come next November?
All those sympathetic radical-embracing mayors and city councilmembers must be beginning to wonder what sort of price THEY are going to pay for indulging these smelly brats at the expense of their own constituents.
Even those cocktail-party liberal “one-percenters” who live in lower Manhattan may just fail to come up with cash and support for the local government types who let the “occupiers” fling poo at their doormen and keep them up nights with their drumming.
Sometimes magic is not as magical as other times....
Who Is John Zuccotti and Why Was His Park Picked for Occupy Wall Street? (theblaze.com)
Short version:
The 74-year-old Zuccotti is co-chairman of the board of the $3.2 billion dollar Brookfield Properties, a multi-billion dollar real estate development firm.
Mr. Zuccotti has longstanding ties to parks and city government as 40 years ago he was a paid, part-time member of the city planning commission and in the mid-1970s was appointed deputy mayor of New York City.
Additionally, Brookfield Properties has links to city government Diana Taylor, Mayor Michael Bloombergs frequent companion, sits on the Brookfield Board of Directors co-chaired by Zuccotti. (To be fair and accurate, Ms. Taylor is more than just the mayors girlfriend. She happens to be an accomplished businessperson with an impressive resume that includes high-ranking positions in banking and a large utility company.)
And then there are the financial connections between Brookfield Properties and the Obama Administration.
The Union Leader of New Hampshire reported that the Obama administration has backed a local wind farm (tied to Brookfield) with taxpayer dollars. The title of the story, A NH Solyndra? Wind farm gets fed loan leads one to believe that the project is probably on shaky financial footing. The Union Leader connects the dots from the White House to Brookfield and then, in the wake of the Solyndra bankruptcy, questions the financial wisdom of this loan.
Why would a company created by a $3.2 billion company and backed by a $2.7 billion private fund need federal loan guarantees? That would be an important question at any time, but it is more pertinent after the bankruptcy of Solyndra, a solar-panel maker that got a $535 million federal loan guarantee from the Obama administration last year.
THAT certainly answers a few questions. Mr. Zucotti approved this use of his park beforehand in exchange for Obama favors.
One hand washes the other.
Although he might pay a social price among his lower Manhattanite neighbors who don’t like it when the consequences of liberalism hit (their) home.
Liberals are into victimhood. OWS epitomizes and glorifies victimhood.
As I am reading this I am eating a radish and goat cheese sandwich made from stuff I purchased at a farmer's market yesterday. I'd like to focus on the goat cheese. The operation is owned by a Mennonite family. The pieces of cheese are wrapped in special paper (that they buy), with stickers (custom made). They have a website operated by a web developer (via contract). The enter the cheeses in regional and national contests (winning results are used in marketing the cheese). They have placed their cheese in locavore mom and pop shops (which they advertise on their website). They have display cases, special coolers, banners, brochures that all help to sell the cheeses. Although it isn't barebones, I do think they are as close to basic as you can get and they still conduct a lot of outside business to support the product.
