Madonna's brother living on street

Madonna's older brother is homeless, living under a bridge in remote northern Michigan.

Anthony Ciccone, 55, told the Michigan Messenger newspaper that he lost his job more than a year ago at his father Silvio's winery near Traverse City, a resort community of 14,000 on upper Lake Michigan, about 215 kilometers south of Sault Ste. Marie, Ont.

Ciccone says he has been living on the street ever since.

"My family turned their back on me, basically, when I was having a hard time," Ciccone told the Messenger. "You think I haven't answered this kind of question a bazillion times — why my sister is a multibazillionaire, and I'm homeless on the street? Never say never. This could happen to anybody."

Ciccone said he eats evening meals at Traverse City churches, and his only source of income is scrounging bottles and cans to return for their deposit value, and odd jobs.

Madonna Ciccone, 53, was born and raised in southern Michigan, the third of six children to an Italian immigrant father and a mother of French-Canadian descent. Madonna left the Detroit area for New York City in 1977, at age 19, to seek fame and fortune. By 1983 she had found it. Forbes magazine this year estimated Madonna's earnings from 2007 to 2010 alone to be $280 million.

The good news is that bridges are normally strong, solid structures. At least he isn’t living in a hut in Africa like Barry Soetoro’s brother.

And what does it take to get fired from daddy's winery?

Like all stories, this one probably has two sides. I would like to hear the other before I make any decisions.

In many cases people living in the streets have substance abuse problems. The family has bent over backwards to help them and finally has given up because the substance abuser won’t or can’t help themselves.

Isn’t that the brother that used to be her producer...or something like that?

What’s with these liberals - doesn’t Barry have a brother living in a hut? Shame on Madonna in more ways than one. Yet, for show, didn’t she adopt some foreign kid to give him a better life?

How long did you work there? Didn't you save any money? Didn't you have any investments you could sell like a house?

What an idiot.

Interesting that he chose such an upscale town to be homeless in. Kinda like Beverly Hills on ice.

Not far from Fat Mikey’s either.

Ok - good question - one I hadn’t thought about. I was thinking the winery may have closed. I didn’t think of the obvious.

What’s with these liberals

simple. They LOVE to spent OUR money on other people. Their own money? not so much.

Regardless of the circumstances, blood is blood. Given her huge wealth—a top 1 percenter—she should provide at least a roof over her brother’s head. The costs wouldn’t approach what amounts to a penny as a percentage of her net worth.

“...why my sister is a multibazillionaire, and I’m homeless on the street?...”

Does this mean he feels entitled to his sister’s money?

“he lost his job more than a year ago at his father Silvio’s winery”

Sounds like he was ingesting more of daddy’s wine than he was selling

Maybe, like so many others who work for family, that dear old Dad paid him under the table and thus he has nothing that was ever in his name. Messes a bunch up for getting unemployment or even social security later on.

You would think that Madonna could hire him to sweep up the leaves on one of her Florida estates. At least sleeping outside in Florida would be an improvement over Michigan in the winter.
